That said, Kong Island sounds right up my alley. I've never even heard of it, but I love those Gungala jungle girl movies and this sounds similar, so I went ahead and placed an order for this and Ride a Wild Stud. Hopefully this will be the uncut version as promised.

I will say, I do love it when titles I've never even heard of get released. These and known, but new to disc titles are what get me excited as a collector, not the endless stream of re-releases. Please keep these type of films coming, Dave.

I know what you mean. I've loved the 2 martial arts flicks I picked up from Dark Force, loved Young Cycle Girls, just watched Revenge of the Bushido Blade yesterday and loved that (although it's nothing like what you would expect from the title or the cover as it's not really action-oriented, but surprisingly a pretty well-acted revenge drama), and it's exciting because I had never heard of any of them so had no expectations. Dave's a pretty decent curator of these types of films, at least the '70s stuff.

Good question dwk. And at this time I can't elaborate because we are in negotiations to difuse the situation before it becomes a major problem. I can tell you without mentioning any names that a certain LABEL has been involved with certain actions regarding a movie that has involved many people including but not limited to Code Red, Scorpion Releasing, Kino-Lorber, Diabolik DVD, Amazon, Shudder, Frolic Pictures, Ronin Flicks and others that began several years ago. Now Dark Force is involved. Hopefully, for their sake, they resolve it with us or we will declare war on them and you will witness a war that will make the infamous 2019 battle with Vinegar Syndrome look like child's play.

Come on, as a paying customer, I have the right to complain when a product or service doesn't meet my expectations and that was a disappointing release. Doesn't matter how rare it is if it is completely censored. Personally, I would rather it had never been released at all. At the very least, there should have been a disclaimer that it was censored but that was the only version available. But fine, I won't mention it again.

Besides, I did compliment you on the other obscure releases Dark Force has put out. I like your label and I really want to support you, but you make it hard sometimes.

I have it. I liked the movie but while I thought it was a bit racier than you expect for vintage HK I don’t remember anything specific.

It was good, I think the first act was a bit slow (and had a dumb car chase) but then it picked up. Shadow Fist Hunter is much better.

As a counter opinion I actually preferred Deadly Kung Fu Factor over Shadow Fist Hunter and actually got rid of the later. My tastes are more for the exploitation and style over the fighting scenes(though I like those too) and what not so your mileage may vary.

I liked them both for what they were. I consider myself a huge kung-fu guy, having collected a shit-ton of VHS back in the day. I did comment here that I felt the DEADLY KUNG-FU FACTOR was short on the deadly kung-fu.
