So, as far as Finn, I think it's safe to say
[Show spoiler] he was either genetically engineered, or bred, to be a soldier. FN2187 is Finns real name. Likely Leonis from rebels is his last name, as she was captured and put into that program.

All they have to do is hook themselves up to a handy Mr. DNA scanning station to find out if they have a high midichlorian count...

Yeah it looks like Chewbacca but then again this could be her Jedi quest like Luke's

But anyway, I loved this trailer and I'm more pumped up now than ever!
Whatever you feel he got wrong about the previous six films are far outweighed by what he got right. The very fact that you're disappointed in some of his later decisions is predicated on the fact that he created something great that resonates with you.

He could have kept the franchise until he died. He certainly didn't need the money. He gave it up because he believed that there are more capable hands for the future of the franchise.

I'd say he's easily excused for whatever "bad" decisions he may have made.

Not sure if the Jar Jar Binks fiasco will ever be easily excused.

Also, where in the blue blazes is C3PO? That's the question which needs to be asked.

Yeah you don't see much of C3PO but he's got a red arm now.

Just like Big Boss.

I don't hate the man for his cinematic accomplishments I just think he makes a better producer, like Empire Strikes back is my favorite of the trilogy, directed by Irvin Kershner, produced and written by Lucas.

I also give praise to Akira Kurosawa for inspiring Lucas.

I'm not saying he didn't get anything right. And yes, I'll always respect the fact that he created it and admire him for all the crap he went through when making the first movie.

But very often it seems like people bring that up whenever any kind of criticism (no matter how legitimate) is directed at him. You always hear things like "Hey shut it, without him you wouldn't have any of this!" and so on.

And in regard to the bolded part, that won't happen until the OUT is finally restored and properly released on home video.

yeah yeah, i know i know......

In regard to the trailer, I knew we'd get at least a few lens flares. But they didn't really bother me that much. All things considered, I think they were toned down enough. We have yet to see the finished movie of course, but still, maybe JJ's gotten past his fixation on them.

Tried the online sales with no luck but a co-worker went directly to the theater box office and scored opening night 3D tix for all of us!

This will be my first SW movie in 3D

I suppose it comes from the fact that I've never lived in a big city, but I'm always taken aback at the notion that tickets must be purchased immediately as soon as pre-orders go up, otherwise you won't be able to see the movie on opening day.

I've always gotten my ticket - even for the biggest movies - provided I get to the theater a bit early.

Star Wars ticket sales breaks internet

Quote:
The months and months of hype have paid off for Disney and Lucasfilm this afternoon, as theater chains began offering advance ticket sales for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hits theaters two months from today on December 18. Perhaps a little too well, however. Legions of Star Wars fans immediately rushed to online ticket sellers to secure their seats but alas, the force is not strong with them. The sudden rush of demand from Jedi-happy fans has caused loading issues and site outages on purchasing platforms including Fandango, the Alamo Drafthouse, and AMC Theaters.

Anywhere near a big city you really need to buy them in advance for an evening show on the weekend. Hell, even a "normal" movie I have to do that. Thankfully I am a patient dude and usually just wait for Monday or the next weekend.

One time I went to the theater for a movie and they were all sold out. After that, I buy all mine online usually two or three days in advance.

I have never bought tickets this early though.
