I have seen a few people ask if there are any references to the prequels in the new film.

[Show spoiler]There are several. Clones are mentioned by Kylo Ren while arguing with Hux and outside Maz Kanata's Castle, all those flags relate to events past, present and who knows...

[Show spoiler]Han should not die? He encapsulates the whole hero's death idea. Much better than dying as an old man.

3 more hours until my first time seeing it. This is worse than when I was a kid on Christmas Eve.

[Show spoiler]Honestly, that plot point would have been better served as a way to wrap up the new trilogy, giving an awesome send off to the past and setting up the future.

Two hours til showtime!!! Convenient there's a bar with $1.50 drafts across the street. I should be waiting in line, but it's cold out there and this booth is super cushy!

Watched it earlier this afternoon, really enjoyable.

Spoilers

[Show spoiler]Gutted to see Han go, my favourite character. Surely he could of added so much more to future episodes. You knew it was going to happen the minute he stepped on that gantry though

[Show spoiler]surprised how little Cap Phasma featured too

[Show spoiler]Isn't it too late for that? He kinda is an old man already.

[Show spoiler]There's still plenty other characters that could die at the end of the trilogy. Remember in the PT and OT both we have big characters that die in the first film (Qui-Gon in TPM and Obi-Wan in ANH), then some that die in the third (Mace and Padmé in ROTS, Yoda and Anakin/Vader in ROTJ... plus a few villains if they count). Maybe some big heroic death for Luke? Would be depressing as all hell to lose another one from the old gang though.

Seated in a A1 prime best seat in the theater. Dead center, 10% forward. The Jedi are smiling down on me tonight.

[Show spoiler]No, I read it, it's like TESB leaving it open for future movies. used to it.
