[Show spoiler]The last shot of the film. Every one of the SW movies ends with a framed picture of some sort. It's never in motion
1 - naboo celebration
2 - wedding
3 - tatooine sunset
4 - awards
5 - medical ship
6 - ewok celebration

This time? It's that AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL motion helicopter shot. That last shot is and should be iconic. Even though it's a "5" from me, I'll never forgive them for choosing THAT as the last shot.
Agreed, didn't really like that either

Same. Plus, we could have at least got a line...or a sound...or something even Nolan would do off camera.

If Luke had started break-dancing right before the credits rolled it would have been so much better

What does Nolan have to do with anything?

And no. Star Wars has no dialogue between humans in its final scene. That is how it should be.

Too bad R2 never got his rockets recharged...
[Show spoiler]he could have flown Rey up to the top of the temple grounds instead of Rey walking all those stairs!

I am still checking to see if JJ Abrams put that in the film or if it was a goof.
I don't get it?

Actually, it would have been perfect if...

this cloaked figure turns around...

he takes off his hood...

she asks, "Is it really you?"

and he says...

[Show spoiler]"Yes. It is I. Lone Starr."

What if we don't like Star Wars anywhere near enough to bother? Also what if we only watch movies 90% of the time anyway, and generally are not big fans of animation? I find your comment perplexing, everyone has different tastes.

Nothing? Given this forums affinity for bringing him/TDK up, my point was (top falling over, joker laugh, etc) all had something that caused some hype in the final moments. This had nothing but a dizzy helicopter shot. I'd have been happier with a fade after
[Show spoiler]Rey had her hand out with the lightsaber and as Luke turned around...the fade to black happens and around 5 seconds later...you hear the click of the saber or something. Just not the weird ending pan we got.

It needed more than what it had.

Well, that's not true at all.
Empire has an entire final scene of dialogue.
And PM has "Peace!" (ugh)

I suggest you put on some headphones, only click on it at home and make sure anyone under 13 is not around. There is a bad word at the end of the video.

Ah, but the scene after Lando and Luke talk about meeting up involves no human dialogue only R2 and Chewie.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ssnb...ature=youtu.be

as for PM, they were not human, they were Gungan.

There is no scene after that. It's one scene.

With Luke
[Show spoiler]returning in VIII, I wonder if he'll mention Yoda or Obi Wan?
Really hoping they show up in some form, but if not, their storylines will be complete in the original films, or possibly show up in spin offs which I'm hoping for. Also wouldn't mind a spin off with Darth Maul or Boba Fett.

They
[Show spoiler]already showed up in 7, so id be shocked if Yoda and Obi-Wan aren't in 8 or 9.
