I agree, but it's probably my favorite of the series. All of the 6 movies have cringe worthy acting moments, so I don't even trip on the acting. Hayden Christensen did his best job of the series, but it still wasn't great. The Clone Wars TV show Anakin is a better actor than him. lol.



It's not upsetting to me, but it's still disturbing that Ep III is lumped in with the other two prequels and being called horrible.

2.) A New Hope

3.) Empire Strikes Back

4.) Revenge of the Sith

5.) The Phantom Menace

Well, I think Episode III is by far the best of the three prequels, but I still have some major issues with it. Because Episode I and II were basically a huge waste of time, Episode III had a lot of ground to cover leading up to the original trilogy.

100% agree on Anakin turning a little too fast. I mean, Palpatine pulls the right strings by telling him they can save Padme but Anakin just goes and kills everyone. Even the kids? That fast? I get he was frustrated but the whole thing was handled poorly leading up to this moment that it does falter a bit.

Also - right after Palpatine tells him that he really hasnt learned to save people from dying Id think Anakin, already quite the hothead, would have flipped out right then and there. The dude lied to him and just caused the death of Mace Windu. Just doesnt work and hurts the dramatic impact.

Honestly, the entire Anakin/Obi Wan story line was handled very poorly. The RedletterMedia reviews on Youtube are funny but they nail the problems with the whole way this is handled. We have to be TOLD Anakin and Obi Wan are buddies because we only ever see them getting on each others nerves in the film. There are hardly any moments in the prequels where we see them developing a true friendship. Atguably the most important relationship in the entire series never gets any traction or seems developed. Its like "Hey, these two guys are friends. Seriously friends." Meh!

They shouldnt have started with Anakin being 7 years old..... that FOCKED the whole thing up.

Oh well. Still a huge SW fan

F'n A man. From AotC to RotS, the real meat of the series in developing Anakin and Obi-Wan relationship really was squandered. I guess the real thing that peeved me was that in both movies there were things going on that split them up through the majority of the film/s when a decent chunk should have been them together.

Okay, now I definitely have to go back and watch Attack of the Clones -- which, in all honesty, I have seen less than any other Star Wars movie (maybe only two or three times, and it's been a while), but don't remember it being nearly as bad as The Phantom Menace.

Some of us like 1-3 and 4-6.

My kids (teens) grew up with them all and they prefer 1-3 more but they like them all.

Simon Pegg will be an influential Jedi is my guess, maybe not the Grand Master but he will definitely be up there. Line up now Pegg look-alikes, doing Jedi stunts may well be in your future.
