Hilarious, Thank you.

You should of been Lucas' consultant in what he should of added.

JJ Abrams talked about Star Trek/Star Wars on Howard Stern today.

What I found interesting, is that even though JJ is such a nice guy in interviews, he did not defend the prequels when Stern called them "Awful" and how they ruined the franchise.

Good. He shouldn't be accountable for them, imo. Hopefully, he'll make the next episodes better.

I do hope the Lightsaber fights in this new movie are as badass as the ones in the prequels.

I'm jokingly considered a heretic by my friends for thinking that Revenge Of The Sith is infact the second-best Star Wars film out of the entire sequence after The Empire Strikes Back. Yes. The film is superior to both Return Of The Jedi and even the original Star Wars.

Sith isn't better than Empire, but features more character development than A New Hope. It also beats out Jedi by having enough dramatic moments whilst being a full-tilt finale in it's own right. A new Hope is a great old film, but takes forever to get going and then it's non-stop to the Deathstar showdown.

Am I the only one who thinks The Phantom Menace feels a lot like A New Hope in terms of tone?

Yep, A New Hope is basic in structure and story beats. Phantom Menace is just boring.

Not sure. TPM takes ages to get going, has little character development, and barrels along with action once it gets going, that could also be said about A New Hope. (Which i have a great deal of affection for).

As for The Phantom Menace, i actually realised the other day i will probably never watch the film again. I mean, i've got it in the Star Wars BD box-set, and i will definately watch the major action sequences again on thier own, but actually sit through the film from beginning to end? Can't see it.

Absolutely. Even the cast looked like they were bored to tears when they were making it, there is zero enthusiasm, like they realised how bad the script was and that it wasn't going to approach any of the older films in it's tone or excitement.

ANH does take a litle while to get going but its still the most complete film from front to back of the whole group. It has a perfect build up and does a great job with character development for a single film. Still my favorite of the bunch.

Sith could have been a 5 star flick with slightly better editing and some tightening up here and there. Its really good though. Too much important stuff happens for it not to be. TPM doesnt bother me too much but its the weakets of the 6.
