So the Emperor returns, eh? well he's one of my favourite villains so I'm happy to hear about his possible return.

I know people will be disappointed that they're "recycling" a villain, but still, I think it will play out well.

There not recycling a villain because in the book's the emperor did clone himself. Depending on which cannon books they pull material from you could even see Luke go to the Darkside and Leia be the one to have to bring him back. I think they are going to be smart and not pull material from just 1 book or trilogy. I understand they will be picking up some 20-30 years after the original trilogy so it remains to be seen what they do. I just hope it surprises us as fans and the purists just accept it for what it is now that the franchise is under someone else hands.

I know he exists as a clone in the EU, but I have read comments before from people that they don't want him to be "recycled" in the ST. Though I never regarded Palpatine as being recycled because I think the EU demonstrates that he can exist legitimately.

Its all good man, its going to be interesting to see another persons take on Star Wars aside from Lucas on the big screen that's what im excited about, the movie is either going to be good or its going to crash and burn.

worked in a book and ripping off books to make movies is a Hollywood tradition.

I think they guy looks about right for a Sith. Last thing you want is for your bad guy to be good looking. They can make it into a plot point - you turn eveil, you turn ugly.

Welcome to modern Star Wars people. Much like Trek, they will chuck the story and make questionable decisions because "people" want it. Seriously, if they read some of the comments here, they would have Hamill and Ford running around like they were in their 20's again. Talk with your wallet - quit seeing the movies and buying the merchandise. Saves you money and headaches and is the only way they will get the message.
