Wow, talk about a lazy video with no quality punchline...thanks...
I will also be curious what Lucas thinks of these sequels. But really, his opinion isn't too important anymore. He'd just keep updating his opinion over the years because he didn't feel he had the proper technology to express his thoughts before. |

![]() Kraft has released a new line of macaroni and cheese to celebrate the new Star Wars film, "Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens." It's a box full of tiny Yodas, Darth Vaders, R2-D2s and C-3POs, all made out of pasta. The new "Star Wars" macaroni and cheese boxes are available now, and the suggested retail price is $1.29. http://www.latimes.com/food/dailydis...505-story.html |

I'm calling it now. Rather than Joss Whedon taking on one of the Star Wars "Episodes" movies, he'll most likely be directing one of the Star Wars "Anthology" movies --- specifically the Boba Fett solo movie, now that Josh Trank isn't involved with it anymore. Whedon has gone on record as saying that after doing such a big team-up movie like Avengers: Age of Ultron, he's spent and wants to scale down by taking on a solo character story of some sort with his next film. Everyone knows Whedon's a huge Star Wars fan, which also happens to be owned by Disney along with Marvel, so it's not like he's jumping too far from ship-to-ship. Personally, I thought the honor of a Boba Fett movie should go to Joe Johnston (The Rocketeer, Captain America: First Avenger) who not only is a capable director, but started out at Lucasfilms as a designer, and is actually the creator of Boba Fett! But I can totally see Whedon doing it, since he's done space-western bounty hunter stuff before with Firefly/Serenity. And it seems the timing is just right since the whole recently rumored debacle with Josh Trank and the release of Whedon's Avengers 2. |

Actually some very extreme feminists have written articles about Avengers 2 being sexist because of Widow being sad about being made infertile. My wife got SO angry when she read about hat (the criticism, not the movie).

If they want to do something to make Boba Fett cool again they should have some Boba Fett story in the anthology film where it's just him on the job, his P.O.V., no talking, kind of like the opening 10-15 minutes of the Charles Bronson film The Mechanic.

I was very disappointed to see JJ Abrams ditching Star Trek and going to Star Wars. Likewise I wouldn't want to see Whedon as a part of another franchise or making a DC movie. I'm much more enthusiastic about David Ayer doing DC, and I was excited to see Josh Trank doing Star Wars, but I'll settle for him going over to a Marvel property for Fantastic Four. I would very much like to see more directors with non-franchise sci-fi experience getting looped in to the franchises for a movie or two. A Fincher MCU film or Besson Star Wars film for example. |

I don't know if this has already been posted, but vanity fair revealed why they abandoned the original Lucas story treatment for the film......
[Abrams] said Lucas’s treatment had centered on very young characters – teenagers, Lucasfilm told me – which might have struck Disney executives as veering too close for comfort to ‘The Phantom Menace’ and its 9-year-old Anakin Skywalker and 13-year-old Queen Amidala. “We’ve made some departures” from Lucas’s ideas, Kennedy conceded, but only in “exactly the way you would in any development process.” As Abrams and company worked on crafting a new story, the process didn’t always go so smoothly. Oscar-winner Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine) was initially hired to pen the screenplay, but later departed – paving the way for Abrams and Star Wars veteran Lawrence Kasdan to write the script. In the Vanity Fair article, Abrams explained that the two essentially started with a clean slate, as the final narrative still hadn’t been completed as early as November 2013: “We didn’t have anything. There were a thousand people waiting for answers on things, and you couldn’t tell them anything except, ‘Yeah, that guy’s in it.’ That was about it. That was really all we knew.” |

![]() ![]() Greg Grunberg was a guest at Nerdist’s Chewin’ It podcast show and revealed some juicy details about his character from The Force Awakens… As you know Greg Grunberg and J.J. Abrams are childhood friends and he appeared on most of Abrams’ projects. First it was believed that Greg will have a cameo in the movie, but later the actor revealed that he had filmed for several weeks in London. Now Grunberg gave some more hints about his role, which appears to be a pretty big one: He has signed for three movies. He shot for 7 weeks in London at Pinewood. He is not a CG character. He has facial hair. He has no prosthetics. He never read the whole script. It was on red paper. There will be an action figure with his character. The actors had to wear cloaks while walking towards the set. You can watch the whole podcast with Grunberg at Nerdist.com. http://nerdist.com/chewin-it-108-greg-grunberg/ |
