Nien Nunb is one of my favourite things about Jedi. Seriously. I hope he gets to jabber at someone again.

I always liked him too. But it's gonna suck having him back and not Lando.

Looks like these drawing from a couple of months ago are from those stills above. This one here is supposed to be from a trailer, is another trailer ready to be released?

No, it would restrict them, there is a reason there is no Earth, it's because Star Wars is set in a fantasy world which is completely separated from our reality Tolkien-style, including Earth in that kind of world would subtract from the timelessness that sets it apart from true science-fiction like Star Trek.

It would be excellent fan fiction material though inserting Earth in the SW universe, I even dabbled in the thought myself a few times.

You know, I get the feeling that Rey will be the central protagonist for the entire sequel trilogy.

If so, that's a bold move in Lucasfilm's part, and something that I'm willing to applaud for diversity.

But out of the three, I think Rey will have the most focus, just like how Luke was the main focus in the original trilogy and Anakin/Obi-Wan in the prequel.

Probably. It is cool, and I don't know why it rarely happens. I grew up with Ripley, after all. That should have been the end of doubt that a woman could carry an action series.

Because shortly after Ripley they started to use focus groups made up of sexually insecure frat boys and even when they don't use real focus groups they always fall to that stereotype because they are stupidly lazy, it's the same with video games and comics, the marketing departments compartimentalize everything, I've only discovered a few years ago that apparently the Disney animated canon is "for girls" and I come from a family that between three brothers has a hefty collection of Disney VHSs (two big boxes in our garage), DVDs and Blu Rays (though the blu rays is mostly me) that are regularly pulled form their shelves, go figure.

They could tie it into Indiana Jones! Since Star Wars took place a long time ago, they could come to earth briefly and leave as gods! The same ones the Mayans worshipped and made the crystal skulls after. lol

Also, anyone think this will have as big an opening as Jurassic World? In some ways I doubt it for those who were burned badly by the PT.

I don't know, could not care less, because in two years something else will gross a lot of money in a certain frame of time. This stuff is meaningless.

I shouldn't care either because it is meaningless and has no impact on me directly, but it's cool to see stuff you like succeed. It would be nice for Star Wars to overthrow Avatar.

Reminds me of this short comic that Dark Horse put out.

Star Wars used to put out these comics that were often "what if" tales - stories that weren't part of the canon - which were sometimes funny and silly, sometimes serious.

One story had the Millennium Falcon land in a forest. Native Americans ended up attacking Han and Chewie. Han was impaled by arrows and killed. Chewie, distraught, took off into the forest. Over a hundred years later, a man is in the forest, searching for the legendary Sasquatch when he comes across the wreck of the Falcon. The man? Indiana Jones! Jones comes across Han's skeleton and decides to leave everything be... including Sasquatch. We finally see Sasquatch at the end of the tale, sitting solemnly amongst the trees: it's Chewbacca.

It was called "Into the Great Unknown" and was part of the Star Wars Tales comics. Very short story, but one I've always remembered.

EDIT to sound like less of a douche:

Films are a business. Whether you care about the records or not, films exist to make money. If films stopped making money, they wouldn't exist. So yes. You'd better hope that films continue to make more money, because they're only going to get more expensive.

And how about the 'in a Galaxy far, far away'?

Besides, the Crystal Skulls are fakes, a notion that was generally accepted in scientific circles before Spielberg and Lucas decided to base their 4th Indiana Jones film on the mystery surrounding them.
