The same guys who wrote the cartoons have now the job of making sure the various canon media don't contradict each other, what you said was true before and it was really glaring I might add.

To be fair, a lot of US television is headed for 13 episode seasons. Syndicated programs on channels like Comedy Central only have 10 episode seasons.
Perhaps, depends whether one prefers the fillers for the sake of having more to watch or a more even quality in the episodes.

Man, what would be worse?:

Not seeing TFA at all.
Seeing TFA, setting up a story you won't live to see the conclusion of.

Off-topic, but I picked up the 3PO version at Target earlier. It's the only flavor I buy, but trust me, I considered getting more.

Writing the past and future are different animals. Lucas had a hard time because he had an established law: the OT. So he was limited in his storytelling for the PT. Expectedly, there are cracks and not everything flows that well (Leia's mother memory, etc). But that's what happens when you tell your story backwards.

But the Sequel Trilogy with JJ is a new story. To paraphrase Doc Brown, the future is unwritten. For many, many SW fans, the films are the only story that matters. And right now, JJ & co. can write it as they please, all pre-established third party content be damned.

Besides, they cleared the decks of all the EU stuff so they could have a properly unified approach to the storytelling of all the forms of SW media that are out there, unlike Lucas whose response to the EU was basically 'meh, where's my money', so if they start throwing out stuff for the sake of it then they'll quickly undermine that new stance. I know that won't keep them awake at night (filmmaker in 'going back on their word' shocker) but still, there's a reason why only x amount of the previous SW stuff was kept as canon and I'd like to think they'll stick to their guns.
None of that is really wrong and I am sure they will honor Clone Wars for a while, if for no other reason than they probably don't want to dive into that period anyway. I'm just saying when it comes right down to it only the movies really matter. There's so many examples of not-movie continuity being a big huge deal for a minute to sell something and then thrown out with the trash five minutes later it's ridiculous.

"This Aliens game is a canon sequel to the films yo! Buy it today!"

"Uh sir, we have Ridley Scott and Neil Blomkamp on the phone, they want to expand the Alien universe in a new film series."

"Video game? What video game?"

Personally I consider this a good thing, honestly. I really only care about the movies and I don't want a cartoon or comic or game messing with that they can do, to be blunt about it. If someone has a great idea for a prequels-era Han Solo origin story or whatever I don't want their hands tied by some cartoon.

I wish I liked it, 6 seasons of Star Wars would be pretty cool to dive into. I just don't, it feels like a kids show to me (no offense at all intended).

It really is so much more than that (the amount of movie references and homages are great, I don't mean Star Wars but movies in general, LOVED the Godzilla episode) but if ya don't dig it, ya don't dig it.

Question

Old news, but in trailer 3 Star Wars VII, it looks like Kylo Ren has his mask off when facing against Finn. I wonder if he'll reveal his human face and how often in the movie, considering his inspiration, Darth Vader, always wore his mask in public.

Hope it happens for them. Anyone know where I can get the Chewie and BB8 t-shirts they're wearing? They're awesome. Would like to get them.

Well, Darth Vader's helmet was a life preserving device. He was unable to breathe properly. Kylo Ren's mask is just that, a mask.

I watched a good number of episodes. Maybe 5-6. I might give it another go sometime, assuming it's still on Netflix. I'm really sensitive to the difference between a family show and a kids show though, and I'm not big on animation in general. I dunno.

5-6? Out of 121? That's just a snapshot. I've got a mate who's crazy for Star Wars but who won't go near Clone Wars because he doesn't dig on animation either. Y'all are both weirdos.

5-6 is a "good #" of episodes??

if there's nothing on tv, i can throw a tv show on and watch 5-6 episodes w/o getting up from the couch.
