There are some Pioneers, I believe the new Sharps do as well.
I believe a fair number of the front projectors also support 1080p/24 at proper refresh rates. |

We do have a sticky thread here, ya know. Click over here.
You have to do the work of rummaging through the posts, just as you would have to do the work of reading up the specs of the display you want to get. If you don't want to do that, lug your 1080p24 player and HDMI cable around and test it on all the displays you want. fuad |

How did you get your 61" model to work? I have the 56" model and mine does not accept 24Hz signals at all.

Most 1080P displays support only 1080P/60 signals. Some of the 1080P displays with 1080P/24 signal support have incorrect refresh rates of 60HZ which does not eliminate the judder. Only 1080P sets that display 1080p/24 material at multiplies of the original frame are included on the list. There are now many 1080P/24 models of displays that display at only 60HZ. Anyone that wants to create a separate sticky of 1080P/24 displays that includes displays that refresh at 60HZ only is welcome to do so.
All the Pioneer Plasma’s that refresh at 72HZ are currently on the list. I am waiting for more information on the Sony LCD and rear projectors to verify refresh rates with 1080P/24 signals before adding them to the list. Hopefully the new Sony’s with 1080P/24 input will bypass the 3:2 pulldown process when a 1080P/24 BLU-RAY or HD-DVD disc is played. Reading the description on Sony’s website the new coming soon Sony’s will convert 60fps to 120fps. I am waiting for the Sony’s new line of products to be released and reviewed before placing it on the list. There is the possibility that some of the lower end models of Sony’s might use a 3:2 pulldown process to convert 1080P/24 to 60HZ. Then the 60HZ is converted to 120HZ. Maybe the new Sony’s well use 5-5 cadence (120HZ) for 1080P/24 signals. So far no product has been released that uses 5-5 cadence. All the 120HZ displays released so far work with 60HZ signals only. |

also Pioneer Kuro plasma panels, the non-elites (didn't see these on your op list):
PDP-4280HD PDP-5080HD PDP-5010FD PDP-6010FD - Smooth Film Motion mode to eliminate motion judder in 3:2 Pulldown (60Hz) providing natural even playback of content created from film - 4 Independent HDMI 1.3 inputs with HDMI-CEC control and the ability to accept 1080p 24/60Hz signal - Advanced PureCinema with 3:3 Pulldown (72Hz) for accurate playback of film content Last edited by BriS2K; 08-18-2007 at 01:51 PM. |

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=123280&postcount=95 The fact is these 2 displays should have never been removed from the list, but do to incorrect information received I was under the impression that they were 60HZ only displays. Sorry that information was wrong. Here is official documentation that proves that the Pioneer PDP-5010FD and Pioneer PDP-6010FD both refresh 1080P/24 material at 72HZ. PDP-5010FD SPECS http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/images/portal/cit_3424/477396559PDP-5010FD.pdf PDP-6010FD SPECS http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/images/portal/cit_3424/479639673PDP-6010FD.pdf Manual for both PDP-5010FD and PDP-6010FD https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/images/portal/cit_11221/467935089PDP6010FDOperatingInstructions0713.pdf Now regarding the PDP-4280HD and PDP-5080HD. Yes these displays have 1080P/24 inputs and refresh at 72HZ but these displays are not true 1080P displays with 1920 X 1080 resolution. Only true 2 million pixel 1080P displays are included on the list. Thanks a lot for the quote from Pioneer’s website. They must have just released the detailed info on these new displays. I am hoping that in the future Sony will provide detailed information on refresh rates like the Pioneer website does then maybe some more Sony’s will be added to the list also. ![]() |

Some times manufactories make mistakes and can sometimes provide wrong information about their products. If you have a review or link that lists a different refresh rate then please let me know so that I can have the most update accurate information on the list. The list I created is for US model numbers in general. I am not familiar with international models and have not included them on the list. Now anyone that is interested is welcome to make a separate sticky link with 1080P/24 models that contains all worldwide 1080P/24 products. I did a search for the Cineversum Blackwing II and could not find any websites that listed the specs in English. As far as I am aware this product is not sold in the United States. ![]() New models and coming soon models of Mitsubishi and Sony displays I am aware of many new models of Sony and Mitsubishi displays that take 60HZ signals and convert them to 120HZ refresh rate. These models also contain 1080P/24 inputs. What is not clear at this time is which models bypass the 3:2 pulldown process when a 1080P/24 signal from BLU-RAY or HD-DVD player is detected. It is possible that some of these models take the 1080P/24 signal and then use a 3:2 pulldown process to convert the signal to 60HZ and then the 60HZ is converted to 120HZ. Hopefully these new LCOS (SXRD), LCD, and DLP displays will do a 5:5 pulldown (120HZ) or a 4:4 pulldown (96HZ) for 1080P/24 material for the best possible picture quality with reduced judder. Hopefully more details on these displays will be released in the future so that possible some will be added to the list. |

Any idea if the new Toshiba LCD’s (REGZA Z3500 series) are guilty of 3:2 pulldown, despite advertising “1080p / 60p / 24p” inputs and 120 Hz?
Maybe they should be added to the “… more details … possible some will be added to the list” list. Also, I don’t know if you plan to keep track of receivers, but I’ve come across what I think are the first receivers worthy listing: the Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH and VSX-94TXH, which “pass 1090p, 24Hz video along their four HDMI 1.3a ports.” Source: http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/05/11...ith-hdmi-1-3a/ |

The current list I have is titled “Models of Displays And Hd players That Support 1080P/24”. If in the future I decide to do audio receivers I most likely will have a separate sticky. ![]() |

Yes if Toshiba comes out with a display with a 1080P/24 input with correct refresh rates I will add it to the list. If I have more time maybe I might add receivers that include 1080P/24 switching capabilities. For now I do not have plans for receivers to be on the list.

The Philips BDP-7100 BLU-RAY player has been added to the list. It is scheduled for a fall 2007 launch and will feature 1080P/24 support with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD internal decoding.

** There is a maximum space limitation for a post. With a total of 13 current and coming soon BLU-RAY models that support 1080P/24 and 3 coming soon HD-DVD players that support 1080P/24, I needed to create a separate list of US displays that support both 1080P/24 and versions of PAL and SECAM. **
Here is the link to the “U.S. Display’s that support both 1080P/24 and versions of PAL and SECAM “ https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=15281 |

As mentioned before the Samsung BD-P1400 outputs 1080P/24 and that information is still 100% correct. According to the latest specs from Samsung the BD-P1400 hardware only supports BD Profile 1.0 and the Network jack can only be used for software updates. The player does not have the minimum hardware requirements for PIP (profile 1.1) or BD-LIVE (profile 2.0). So those features have been removed from the list.
http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/detail/spec.do?group=mp3audiovideo&type=blu_ray&subtype=b lu_raydiscplayers&model_cd=BD-P1400/XAA This Samsung player will be selling for $499.99 at retail and from a reliable source I have learned that the player in a month or so should be selling for around $398 from discount Internet mail order companies. Here is a detailed link to the Samsung BD-P1400 instruction manual http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200708/20070817100517281_01454A_BD-P1400_XAA_BM-0817.pdf Last edited by HDTV1080P; 09-06-2007 at 09:05 PM.
