Yup and they wouldn't be able to do that if TT and Sony didn't make these limited editions. I mean I don't exactly love scalpers and I feel the pain of looking at those prices. Happened with the German import of re-animator (lucky I found a good deal) and im currently trying to figure out something with the German Edition of Strange Days. So I don't love scalpers but the limited crap enables them.

To those of you who missed out on this second release of Fright Night, give it a good amount of time if you plan on buying from a scalper. The first release still had a number of copies up on Ebay when this second release hit. You wait long enough and the scalpers who weren't able to sell their copies I'm sure will be willing to negotiate. If not, well they just ate their own money. |

Well, tracking says expected delivery date of January 22, and it hasn't moved past "Picked Up by request". The USPS said they have not received it yet.

One could argue that if people never paid above retail for an item, there would be no reselling, right? Then you'd have to factor in the whole importing side of things. What about all the people that feel more comfortable paying a bit more, and buying from a US ebayer, vs. importing it themselves? What about the person that missed the Asian steelbook groupbuy/live preorder by seconds and wants to get that Asian steelbook? Short of a nice forum member to trade(and that won't happen with the premium titles due to low quantities), a reseller is the only option. The laws of supply & demand have only been going on since right around the time man discovered fire. Flipping TT releases is just one, very, small rung on the evolutionary resell ladder. ![]() |

Agreed. I actually put all of my TT titles in Black cases. The spines are 14mm, so some of the cases bleed over into the spines (it seems to be a bigger issue with their later releases), but I still dig the aesthetics to it.

It probably is. I'm in Canada as well and my order is still pending. They would have to fill out customs forms for the majority of international orders, which are probably pretty low on their to-do lists when you have to ship out 5,000 items!

How about that, shoveling the driveway to get to the mailbox was worth it. As I had a SAE envelope inside!
