Take it as a fun send up of campy films like Hammer Studio classics with better SFX and you'll love it.

These comedy horrors are so hit or miss. One I blind bought and liked a lot was 'Frankenhooker'.

Okay, wait. What happens Tuesday? Was there another End-of-the-World prediction? What'd I miss?

Sure was. I guess I missed out... again. Maybe re-sale values will be lower though with 8,000 copies out in the market instead of 3,000.

Considering how hard it is to get decent catalog releases on existing blu ray, and that 4k players will upscale 1080p discs, I don't think blu ray is going anywhere just yet.

I just ordered via TCM and it was only a couple bucks more expensive than SAE because of the sign up and save 10% promo. Like you said, who knows if it'll actually get fulfilled, but my "give a shit" factor is pretty low considering the German release is still available.

They're not stupid. I'm sure they're aware of the sales potential and decided that the TT was the best option for the bottom line. TT can charge more plus sell more copies than Sony, which means they can charge a higher license fee from TT than just about any other catalog movie in their library.

I probably got one of the last 25 - 50 copies left at SA as I got my order in around 11:30am today. Very surprised it went as fast as it did considering the announcement was on the cusp of a major holiday.

Now hopefully those last few hundred orders don't get canceled like they did with The Blob.

Math.
So you're offering me $4505.15!
Make it $5000.00 and I'll include a 8"x10" glossy photo of the unblemished, original magnet with my youngest granddaughter's dyslexic autograph!

I can understand seeing the overseas editions as nice alternatives if this were another barebones release, but there are a bunch of extras on this sumbich including two commentaries. Worth it to me.
