People do it all the time, it's called trolling. Why do they do it? Because they are classless.
If Katie, is who she says she is, it would not take long for a Mod to vet her, then she would have a "SAE Insider" moniker below her screen name. I would establish immediate trust, and remove all possible suspicion.
That's why all the various "insiders" have this moniker.

If someone ordered a second copy after they had placed an initial order for 1(while the limit was 3 per person), will that second order be cancelled?

What's the point of setting up an account and posting on a forum, which they admit to reading, if they just want people to call? Besides, it's 2015, who the eff uses phones to call anymore? If Katie gives us a number to text, I'll be more than happy to do that.

Reminds me of Sean Connery in the Untouchables: "Who would claim to be THAT, who wasn't?"

Mine hasn't been cancelled yet and I placed 2 orders. I would think as long as it is 3 or less you should be fine.

I wonder why the studios don't release "Fright Night" BD themselves, seeing that twice already it has sold out faster than you can say OOP. The studios should realize there is money to be made here, and fans wouldn't have to deal with the anxiety of catching a sure-to-be-OOP disc.

Twilight Time releases have provided ample proof of the ferventness of the sci-fi/horror fandom, seeing that several of the OOP releases were in those genres. When "Leave Her to Heaven" came out, DVDBeaver predicted it would go OOP very soon and urged people to grab it; boy, did he blow that call.

Hmmm, I don't think this has ever been discussed before.

My TCM order was cancelled as well. Has anyone got an order still pending with TCM?

'horror' titles usually do sell in high quantity - it's Sony who's stupid to this trend or realization.

The "high" in "high quantity" is surely up for debate, and depends on each studios' standard. Given that Sony pretty much only releases huge mega-hits from its catalog at this point I would guess 8,000 copies sold wouldn't really turn their heads.

I see that nobody's answering the question....

if you ordered more than 3 then TS to you....

if you didn't, then the question becomes "why?"

Akoris, they're talking about TCM Shop, not SAE. I have no idea if TCM Shop limits quantities.

It's become more common that TT's releases get delayed by the replication plant.

Maybe I'm wrong but I still think the chances are slim. Even if the replication plant got the titles to SAE early they still have to pack and ship the order before the release date. Then the package has to arrive by the release date. Maybe someone in the local area of SAE would get it by release date if SAE ships it by the 19th.
I got The Blob the Thursday before it was supposed to come out. Theres been some other titles from TT that I've also got from SAE in advance also, just can't remember which titles they were off the top of my head.

Very bogus, I have a limited 3k edition, they have defrauded us by 'double-dipping' the same way the major picture houses do it...Nothing from TT is worth the premium price anymore, besides half of the versions I have from them are substandard quality (very grainy) at best

They did make the artwork somewhat distinct to distinguish between releases. Come on, let those who missed out the first time around enjoy this classic film as well. It was a long wait for many of us. Even had this not materialized, there would still be foreign releases to worry about, rendering the original not quite unique in any major way beyond an isolated score - there is nothing particularly distinguishing about the packaging, e.g.: steelbook, digibook, etc.
