Not that I can order them anyway, being in the US, but why are so many BFI releases out of stock at Amazon UK?

I was just browsing random titles and they only seemed to be available by third party sellers. It might be the site recognizing my location because when I searched for titles under Otto Preminger the first page was oddly all US releases. I had to add BFI to the search to bring up the UK release.

The old Kino dvd is one of my prized possessions, and for me this announcement is one of the brightest lights in this incredibly bleak year. Hoping BFI does justice to this "'cosmic despair' version of It's a Wonderful Life" (Glenn Erickson) in the extras department with, say, a juicy commentary from Guy Maddin... maybe even tag teaming with David Lynch. I can dream, right?

Assuming that BFI ever send out my pending order, and their editions of Carmen Jones and Night and the City make it in it, I'll have all of their Fox BDs except The Leopard. And the only one of their Fox DVD releases that I don't have yet that I'd like is the first Borzage set (I have the second one).

Definitely going to get the title Dementia. Still to get the titles Scandal and Cosh Boy, and likely going to get The Good Die Young.

Finally got mine. Exactly a week after dispatch. Was sent in a real sturdy cardboard envelope and was given a pack of candy as a little consolation for omitting the magazine from my order. Superb service!
Luckily no corner bends or anything at all except a few mm rip near the left upper corner near the spine, but that's not an issue at all. Super stoked! ![]() |

As far as I’m concerned, the best film mag out there, Little White Lies is great too with lots of lovely art but some of their writing borders on teeny in the worst way possible. Also I’m not sure if they’re still doing it but when I subscribed to 12 months - they gave me Varda by Agnes blu-Ray free of charge. |

![]() ![]() On a serious note though, I am really underwhelmed by their service. Apart from receiving the magazine in the condition I did, I received also Tokyo Story, inside a jiffy bag (thankfully intact, I guess by pure chance). This was my 1st order through their shop and I want to become a regular, but based on my recent experience, I will really think about it next time. Maybe it was just an unfortunate mishap, based on your order. |

Are you sure the mailman didn't mangle it while trying to put it in the mailbox? It was quite big. Then again, I'm not sure how big your mailbox is. I also got Tokyo Story in a white jiffy bag, but it was decently padded with bubble wrap. Would've preferred something like an Eureka box though. |

Anyway, I'll send them a nice email, stating my feedback on the matter. Hopefully, they will consider it. I never judge anything, from just a single experience. It's not fair really. |

Yes, a transparent plastic bag to be more exact. Shame I immediately threw it away (I was a bit mad at the moment).
