1080p transfer, tinted colors. Not sure if it's a new scan or not, but definitely looks better than the transfer on the Criterion "A Hard Day's Night"

Hi,
This may have been answered already. I was wondering - on the Dual Format Editions of the BFI - do all of them always come on a Blu-Ray case? Or do the DVD cases exist as well. I'm thinking of ordering a movie but not sure it'll come on a Blu-ray case. Thanks |

Network are the only one I can think of who used DVD (slimline) cases for dual format releases, something they quickly abandoned.

Their dual format release of Michael Palin & Terry Jones' show "The Complete and Utter History of Britain" was in an ordinary large DVD sized case, similar to how some of their complete TV series sets came.

He has, which is a shame. I'm not entirely sure why - the criticisms of the French set seem to be mainly down the the encoding rather than the restorations, as far as I can see. I'll likely be passing on the BFI Truffaut releases then, as I'm feeling confident that Criterion will release them on UHD sooner rather than later. It is a shame that the BFI doesn't have the rights to any of the films that weren't in the Artificial Eye box sets.
