So it isn’t only Criterion making a habit of releasing stuff that’s already been on the market and ignoring the hundreds of titles they could release to fill some gaps! Is this some strange prestige mark for boutique labels?

To be fair, I believe the AE discs had been OOP for quite a while before the BFI discs came out.

Well it's now after the release date and it still hasn't shipped.

That sucks. The latest I think I've had a BFI order ship was the Wednesday after release date, so I'd be tempted to send them an email checking the status. Hopefully it dispatches soon, but it's a bit poor it hasn't already.

RIP Ron Peck, director of the long OOP Nighthawks and Strip Jack Naked (Second Run had previously released a DVD before the BFI release, while Network released Empire State), has died of cancer at 74. Though other LGBT films had been made before Nighthawks, like Victim, and other filmmakers like Jarman (who makes a cameo in the film) were emerging around the same time, it was notable for depicting the gay club scene before AIDS decimated it, and normalising being a gay teacher before Section 28 formed new restrictions the following decade.

Not that long. In fact, the Antoine Doinel set still regularly turns up (albeit at RRP) and several of the separate releases remain available.

Like others, I'm waiting for the upcoming MGM-owned titles from Kino. Apparently due in February.

February? Last I heard, admittedly weeks ago, KL_Insider in the kino thread was saying 2022. You've obviously heard something.

HTF = Home Theater (sic) Forum I think.

If not BFI, then would any UK label pick these up? If all else fails I'd opt for the KL releases but ...

I could see Radiance potentially releasing them since I believe they have an active MGM deal. I would say Eureka, as another possibility, but they seemed to of given up on French cinema years ago.

Same here. Got a standard response from BFI a couple of months ago, "No plans at present etc." but maybe down the line. I just can't wait to get hold of them. Never seen most of them.

I can't see Eureka having the inclination any more; if only Truffaut had made more Kung Fu films.

Adele, L'Enfant Sauvage and La Chambre Verte are absolutely top-tier Truffaut; I think the latter might be my favourite. L'Argent de Poche is horribly twee though.

With the single-disc release of Judgment at Nuremberg, I've just realised that I didn't pick up the two-disc set. I foolishly thought that I had...

Does anyone know if it is still available anywhere?

Eve’s Bayou was brilliant. Debbi Morgan’s fantastic as Mozelle.

And I can’t believe I finally have a Lost Highway disc that uses the U.S. one-sheet artwork. I could stare at it all day.

Awesome! Thanks guys. I ordered from HMV in the end as I've little faith in CEX handling the DVD.

Can't believe I didn't spot it on either site... losing my touch
