What's up with the Top Gun 2 pop up ad on this site? I delete it, but every time I click on a new thread it comes back. It's pretty annoying and I hope this isn't permanent.

There's ads all over now. I can't even see this window on my phone because a Clorox and Best Buy ad are in the way.

I just noticed that too, constant popups. I am seeing 4 different ads as I type this, Maverick, Shein, Revzilla and Business Focus. So many ads I can't read the actual forum, it's to distracting.

You can block ad's with Ad Blocker and I have that set with my laptop, but this Top Gun one is always here and very annoying. If you want Ad Blocker just go to Google and tpye it in, you will then be directed to the Ad Blocker site and once you download it, the pop up ad's will be gone.

I have ad blocker on my laptop, but I'm out of town without it, so I am on my phone. But now I know there's a way to turn them off in the settings here, so everything is cool.
The film opens with a sequence of fighter jets taking off in a beautiful hue or yellow and orange, shot to the song “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins, which fans will remember from the first film. Then, it cuts to Tom Cruise’s Maverick in an airplane hanger in the Mojave Desert, and then he gets on a Kawasaki and rides to the air base, only to be told they’ve been ordered to stand down on their latest mission.
Cruise gets into his jet wanting to hit Mach 10, and puts on what looks like a space helmet. “Alright sweetheart, one last ride.” Indeed, he takes off into the earth’s atmosphere, going so fast in his fighter jet that he is “the fastest man alive.” As the Mach level rises, you can see the jet heating up as it approaches “high hypersonic.”
But of course, Maverick can’t stop there, and he pushes it past Mach 10. At 10.3, the alarms and signals go off, and connection is lost. We see the jet falling out of the sky, and the screen fades to black. But he shows up at a cafe in a desolated town, asking “where am I?”
Then, Paramount showed the trailer, which delved into more action jet scenes, and showed Miles Teller and Glen Poweel’s characters. “My father believed in you. I’m not going to make the same mistake,” Teller’s character tells Maverick.
“You sink up there, you die,” Maverick tells his new recruits.
The film is due in theaters Nov. 19.
We quickly learn that Peter “Maverick” Mitchell (Cruise) is still a captain, despite the fact that, as Harris’ character puts it, he “should be at least a two-star admiral by now.”
From there we see Maverick flying a jet (and loving it), some scenes of naval personnel partying, and what looks like a hint at the rise of drones and what drone warfare means for the future of manned military flight.
“The end is inevitable, Maverick. Your kind is headed to extinction,” Harris says.
Nooo...one of the few movies that was promising a great time on the big screen this year.
The delay madness is insane. They have no idea what condition anything will be in next year. All the vaccines could wear off and things could spike even worse in the summer. The virus could mutate to get past vaccines. No one knows. This endless guesswork and gambling is nonsense.
