Not sure. Paramount's decision to postpone the movie from July 2019 to June 2020 was made way back in August 2018. I never saw what their reasoning was at the time. Maybe they felt the competition was too stiff(there were some massive hits that summer). But I'd bet if they had it to do over, they'd bite the bullet and take their chances against those movies.

It was originally scheduled for release on July 12, 2019, but was postponed to "allow the production to work out all the complex flight sequences".

We were reaching herd immunity......and along came the delta variant(which was first detected back in December in India). Up next is the lambda one which has been spreading throughout South America.

We can't eradicate COVID. Australia and New Zealand have been trying to do that and despite their geographical advantages that the US doesn't have, they've failed and devolved into police states.

People either better learn to live with this and take whatever precautions they deem necessary in their own lives or these movies will never see the light of day outside of a streaming service.

The only person being easily led here is you. If the CDC asked you to jump you'd ask how high.

I'm sure you'd be all for putting the unvaccinated in camps wouldn't you? For your safety of course.

I am double vaccinacted since June 7th. Those that are not don't scare me. I also wear a mask in public - for my protection as well as others as I am be a carrier with no symptoms.

They want to gamble with their lives - be it far from me to tell them what they can or cannot do with their health.

I just don't want to hear how all the establishments will be unfair to them not allowing them to live as they choose because they are not vaccinated.

The common thing I'm seeing out there is people saying they won't take their kids to the movies because kids can't get vaccinated. It still hasn't sunk in how low risk the virus is to children, and how they have automatic protection that's probably as good as or better than a vaccinated adult. "Some 99.995% of the 469,982 children in England who were infected during the year examined by researchers survived, one study found." That's a 1 in 200,000 risk, much lower than almost any risk of death you can think of for children or adults.

Tell that to the vaccinated parents of children who have died. Even 1 death is unacceptable with todays technology.

There are plenty of medical reasons NOT to get vaccinated. Prove to me this vaccination is safe 15-20 years down the line and that there are no adverse side effects. Keep in mind yes im vaccinated have been since May, please also take into account people who are allergic to vaccinations it is rare but ive met people who are. I met a woman who last time she got a vaccination was paralyzed from the waist down for 8 weeks. So dont sit here all high and mighty, especially when the history of vaccinations show minority communities were used as test subjects, can you blame those communities for not wanting it until there is definitive sustained long proof.

Don't know what the latest research is, but I live in a small Midwest town where everyone knows everyone and there's been A LOT of kids getting covid now.

Also I know someone who is vaccinated and still got covid. I mean, she did go to an outdoors concert lmao.

I think the movie wasn't going to be done. It was apparently still shooting as of June 2019. So no chance in hell it could have released by July 2019.

More than 98% of Delta cases are UNvaccinated, so the vaccine works, unlike that stupid horse dewormer that you anti-vaxxers currently cling to as your flavor of the day that even the f'ing makers of say isn't meant for treating Covid on their site.

Also, just FYI, you probably wouldn't see major breakouts like these if only they'd have taken the vaccine and kept their mask on like responsible adults, and believe me, I'm not even scratching the surface of all the linkable breakouts you've caused through your misinformation campaign.

As I said in that post, the stat is 1 in 200,000 under age 19 who got COVID in England died from it. Not talking about who gets it, talking about deaths. Any stats you look at with COVID, if deaths for a group are low, serious illness is also pretty low, albeit higher than the deaths. 1 in 200,000 is just a crazy low risk. About 1 in 100 will die from a vehicular accident in their lifetime. Suicide, drowning, getting struck by lightning (non-fatal) are also more likely than 1 in 200,000 in a person's lifetime. And keep in mind, 1 in 200,000 is the deaths among kids who got it. The risk to all kids of dying from COVID is much lower, because that includes the kids who never got it. So the hysteria you see out there from some parents who are living in fear of their kids dying from COVID is unwarranted.
