Cool Nolan And Goyer Talk Batman 3 Villains

Go here for the full interview (and a lot of Joker talk).

These guys know what the hell they're doing!

DAVID GOYER: The movie still feels complete. I think if there was not a third one, it’s not like “Oh my god! These things haven’t been answered.”

JONATHAN NOLAN: That’s the idea, very much. It’s to make complete films.

MoviesOnline: You’ve done Scarecrow, you’ve done Joker, Ra’s Al Ghul, and now Two-Face, if you were to do a third film, which characters would you like to tackle?

DAVID GOYER: We’re not going to tell you other than to say Batman has been published for 70 years. In the first movie we used Ra’s Al Ghul and the Scarecrow who had not been in the movies before and had not been in the 60s TV show and there are dozens, if not hundreds of other characters that fit that bill. Everyone says you have to use the Penguin or Catwoman. Well, I completely disagree.

JONATHAN NOLAN: There’s a very deep roster of great characters over seventy years.

I want to see Clayface and Bane (the real Bane who breaks Batman's back).

Just get him ranting about Scientology and you'll have no problems with Batman being able to try and riddle out what the hell he's yammering on about.

I think his performance on Oprah alone warrants it.

Honestly, after seeing The Dark Knight I think everyone should just go ahead and prepare themselves because I honestly don't think they could possibly make a batman movie any better and no one could portray a villain any better. So I think it's safe to say that regardless of who plays what villain in the next movie, it will be all downhill from TDK because that cannot be improved upon!

there are rumours circulating the web that its gonna be The Riddler most started by me (na jks) but i believe its gonna be him because by judging christopher nolan's f***ing AMAZING movies he would like a character that is human not some freak or a wierdo but some1's character that can be explored and not just limited by what he/she does eg catwoman, penguin

I don't get how Nolan can say this movie is complete : there is no catharsis in the ending, and it's left open just like Empire Strikes Back.

[Show spoiler]Dark Knight is heavily influenced by the graphic noval Dark Victory, that novel ends with the Joker shooting Two-Face in the head. Two-Face falls down a cravass in the Batcave after being shot. Two-Face is then seen alive at the end of the story. It is possible to bring Two-Face back, depending on how he dies.

How do you know this? Did you already see the movie?
[Show spoiler]Is it a closed casket funeral? Do you ever see his lifeless body? If not, then he can return with a pretty easily story arch
