2017, at least for me, has been the year that I've spent the most $$ on home media....by far.

True for me too... I have had to catch up on blu-ray because I started late, then we have all the label releases cranking lately, now UHDs on top of it. Crazy times. I make less than ever recently too, so I feel the wife giving me the side-eye from time to time.

I've cut back in a few areas to make sure my budget allows for the increase. Both my wife and I earn very decent livings but we both have expensive hobbies, unfortunately. Mine being home theater and hers being equestrian. We keep each other in check. If we go off track I'll just sell her horse

Haha - agreed - don't think I've ever spent so much on watching movies at home so far. But it's mostly been worth it... some spectacular viewing experiences.

Same here, mostly on 4K (soft and hardware) but also games and regular Blu-rays.

Nothing beats 2016 for me as I got my display then but in terms of home movie releases yeah, some serious money spent!
