“For example, when a movie’s overall color scheme is very bright but has a few scenes filmed in relatively dim lighting, those scenes will appear significantly darker than what was originally envisioned by the director,” the company said. “HDR10+ incorporates dynamic metadata that allows a high dynamic range (HDR) TV to adjust brightness levels on a scene-by-scene or even frame-by-frame basis.”
This implies it affects all TVs. Last edited by Staying Salty; 05-19-2017 at 11:02 PM. |

Dan, the four pics from above don't appear on my end.
_____ Bonus (humor only): EDIT: The four pictures that I cannot see are from this URL address: http://danielbafr.free.fr/photos/0phaseb1.jpg http://danielbafr.free.fr/photos/0phaseb2.jpg http://danielbafr.free.fr/photos/0phaseb3.jpg http://danielbafr.free.fr/photos/0phaseb4.jpg Last edited by LordoftheRings; 05-23-2017 at 05:50 PM. |

This is interesting but “over my head” as to how innovative it is. I leave it too you more knowledgeable guys to say if this is real progress. Here is the link: http://www.digitalfacility.com/artic...jsp?id=4971261 Last edited by Staying Salty; 05-23-2017 at 05:31 PM. Reason: added quote |

I wouldn’t consider it to have the dynamic range of high end digital cinematography or studio cameras. Keep in mind the images weren’t intended to be delivered to audiences in HDR in the first place. The cameras capturing the racers were custom built rigs (based on the XDCam block) which don’t have recordable media function, just straight thru live as that allows the camera to be shorter and thusly more adaptable to the shooter sitting on the back of the motorcycle(s) and turning this way or that. The camera rigs also consist of custom built shrouding, expensive stabilized lenses and imho, flawless proprietary RF stuff that I can’t talk about.
Addendum: I highly doubt that one can find the specific information as to the camera rigs which I revealed in the above paragraph by internet googling and such….. so consider this post to be yet another Blu-ray.com forum exclusive. ![]() Last edited by Penton-Man; 05-23-2017 at 07:12 PM. I have a feeling that it's something very simple, a setting perhaps on my end. I'll try few things and if I can get them to show I'll let you know. Meanwhile I like to know if others can access/see them. |

This is what I get (Edge):
Hmm, we can't reach this page. Try this Make sure you’ve got the right web address: http://danielbafr.free.fr Refresh the page Search for what you want _____ Daniel, je vois que tu es Français. Mais je ne peux accéder ton site. I tried with the three browsers, same results. It is very unusual because those four images are the only ones that I can't see...from a multitude of sites I frequent almost every day. |

Dear people, do you have any problem to see the 4 pics of the following post?
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=1848 Thank you Bob / LordoftheRings, I don't have a website. I only use "free.fr" to store my pics. A propos, ton français est parfait ! |
