Of all the VHS tapes I threw away, I kept this box, as well as the OOT tapes. Good times... I really wouldn't rule out the prequels, especially when judging it on TPM, but hey, each to their own.

Yer I think my parents still have this one, and all the disneys. I don't dislike the prequels. It's just for me, you have Star Wars and then you have something trying to be Star Wars. They are just in different leagues is all.

Yeah, fair enough. Now all I need is a time machine to speed up the Blu-ray release, I'm sure I left it around here somewhere...

There's never been anything like it since and probably never will be again.

I dunno if this has been asked or answered elsewhere but does anyone have any idea which version of Attack of the Clones will be on the UK Blu? I'll be really pissed if it's still missing the headbutt....

Yeah, well, that's the BBFC for us. Hopefully it won't be cut, but we'll know once the BBFC rates the Blu-ray release.

The way I see it, ROTS is a 12 rating over here and I believe that AOTC uncut, would get away with a 12 rating. If the two different sets, prequels and complete saga, are going to have an overall 12 rating because of ROTS, then surely AOTC would be allowed to be bumped up to a 12 rating and left uncut?

They cut the headbutt themselves to get a PG rating, instead of a 12. http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AFF172768/

P.S. they also cut a making of documentary for The Phantom Menace. http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AVV171120/

I hope they take the 12, I'm sure Fox won't want to do separate discs, they could be bumped to a 15 with the F-Bombs in the TPM documentary. Indy was the same with Temple of Doom I'm sure they wouldn't have lost any sales if the set had been 12 or even 15.

I was checking the BBFC site yesterday in case any new Star Wars features had been submitted, I think it was only the recent LEGO games but I think it will be a while yet.

I think they rate roughly a month before release.

Yeah, it really is up to Fox/Lucasfilm/whoever to resubmit the films, and they'd be the ones to blame if we still got a cut version. However, many big releases like this do have the films resubmitted if not for the reason that it'd save them having to go through the hassle of re-cutting the newly restored film to get a rating that's lower than what ROTS will end up giving the boxset anyway.

Yeah, let's hope the boxset is completely uncut. It seems kinda trivial too me that they chose to cut that material in the first place to avoid a possibly higher rating, especially for AoTC.

If the UK set is cut are you going to shop elsewhere or bite the bullet and buy the Saga sans headbutt?

I dunno.... I've been waiting for this release since the introduction of Blu-ray. I've skipped the DVDs, only have 'em on VHS. It's gonna be a tough call. I want it a lot though. I expect the BBFC to be more lenient, it has been 9 years since AotC, or Fox/Lucasfilm to suck it up and go with the higher rating.

It's a no-brainer. If this ends up cut there are NO excuses. The boxset will HAVE to be a 12 rating at least (for ROTS) anyway.
