Universal Pictures have sent through details for the UK Blu-ray Disc release of Van Helsing. Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale star in this action fantasy flick from writer/director Stephen Sommers. The release date is TBC.

I was expecting UNI to bring it out to coincide with ether the release of the Wolverine movie or the Wolverine Blu-ray.

Its universal so its going to be region free. So far univeral, warner and paramount are region free like there US conterparts. Unless we see a shift in that policy I would not worry about it.

Can anyone confirm if VH UK is region free?

I did not notice on http://bluray.liesinc.net/index.php?region=b that mostly all of the Universal movies are region free so hopefully it will.
