Just ran 56 miles in 7 minutes on the Triviz trail, going by last year's results of the 10K I'm going to run in 3 weeks I could finish 3rd in my age group at least.

Sorry, 7 miles in 56 minutes, clearly still not awake yet today. My sister thinks I'm lying, she will see on the 12th when I outrun her, she will regret challenging me to be her running buddy in this 10k.

It is a good clip, I expect to surprise a lot of people, it is amazing how addicted I have become to running/jogging and working out. Such a natural high I get from doing both, can't wait to see obvious gains from the weightlifting.

I don't even know how to begin training for a marathon, imagine it's exhausting, going to ask my sister what I should do to train for a half-marathon. Apparently there's one in February she wants me to run in, we'll see if 2.5-3 months is enough time for me to get ready for that after my first 10k!

Thanks! I find it interesting they recommend strength training for runners, wonder why that is. It's not my legs that are the problem during these runs, it's always my breathing that starts to get to me. I have been lifting for 19 weeks now though (week 20 starts tomorrow) so I doubt I'd still be considered a complete novice at that.

The strength training goes hand in hand with cardio conditioning. The stronger your muscles are the longer you can fight off fatigue. Having weak hammies & abs can contribute to slower paces & may lead to injuries. Overall improvement as an athlete be it novice or elite is the ultimate goal.

Ah okay, that makes more sense than cardio training for weightlifters at least I guess. Kinda taken to jogging like a fish to water, my poor sister keeps saying I'm lying about my speeds.

Already felt the runner's high a bit during work-outs and practice runs on Triviz, gotta imagine it'll increase exponentially during an actual race. Not to mention running with other people will probably awaken my competitive side quite a bit.

I'm going to go pee. Interesting fact, often times when I pee in a bathroom stall, I aim for the side of the bowl so as not to make any noise from the urine hitting the water. True story

Right now I think I am going to make a quick video in Movie Maker. I'll take a few Germany/Austria pics and maybe an Ireland pic or two and set them to Concerning Hobbits

Getting ready to finish work. It was a hectic day as we are short-staffed. My manager is currently doing jury service all week and my other colleague is still on holidays until Wednesday.
