Ha, well it has been a little while since I've seen it. I think the movie opens with Billy Mack right. The clip I got...well I'll just post it.

And RIP Alan

I can't imagine being at work this late! Still trying to look into ultra marathons near me, unsuccessfully so far. Hoping I shock myself and do well in that February marathon, going to have to train hard till then. Followed up my 19 mile run on Sunday outside with a 6.02 mile run tonight on the treadmill, disappointed by that. Hoping for at least 7 miles on Thursday. Current plan is to shoot for 12 miles this coming Sunday, 20 miles the Sunday after that and then 16 miles. Can't run 20 miles every time!

It's all good, I work the evening shift 2pm-10pm(some times 11pm). You gonna do well on your marathon! I'll be running the Carlsbad 1/2 Marathon on January 15th, which will be 4th time running that particular race & my 14th 1/2 marathon so far.

Dang that's a lot of half-marathons! Had only been planning to do a half but if I can already do 19 miles, it should be fine. Just gotta finish getting up my endurance and then get my speed up for that long run. Carlsbad? I live in New Mexico, the marathon I'm going to run in is in El Paso. The one I want to do in June is in Ruidoso. My current dream as a runner(never would've guessed this 7 months ago) is to someday run and run well in the Boston marathon.

good luck jwblu. I need to call the post office and see about getting my old job back

I was thinking the same thing Batman, that it seemed like omega was at work late. Going over qualification reports makes me think of an office job with 9-5 hours.

I met a girl last year in Munich who had flown there from Brazil just to run in the marathon. I think she ran a 3 hour 33 minute and 30 seconds or something like that. Her time actually qualified her for Boston but I guess she still has to apply or go through some other qualification process.

At my age I'd have to run it in about 180 minutes, which would mean I would have to run at the speed I ran that last 10k at. Thankfully I won't be able to afford to fly to Boston for that marathon for years anyway. So by the time I can go I should be fast enough to do rather well.

Carlsbad, California. I've done 1 Ultrathon, 2 Marathons (one of those was Boston), 13 Halfs & numeours 15Ks, 10Ks, 5Ks. I drove through Ruidoso back in June on my way to Lubbock.

I can't even imagine myself doing a 5k at this point, usually takes me at least 4-6 miles to really get going when I'm rested, which wasn't the case today.. Co-worker suggested I run in a big one that's coming up but I said no thanks, that wouldn't even really be a warm-up. I know running the Boston Marathon is an absolute event, wish I could already see what it's like. If it's televised, I'll try to catch it to get some idea of what to expect.

Well good luck Batman. I've been to Boston once and loved it. I would love to go back someday. I'd really love to go back there and watch a Patriots game before Tom retires. My dad and I did watch a Red Sox game with Pedro Martinez pitching while we were there. That was really cool. And I can say that I went to Harvard before Mark Zuckerburg Actually, I've been to the two oldest universities in the US

It's 1AM and I only have 1 smoke left. Too cold and late to leave the house, plus I've had a couple drinks this evening. Deep breath...looks like I'll have to sit this one out. First world problems are the worst of all the problems.
