Going to watch Chuck Liddell vs Rampage Jackon. I guess it's the full fight unless I fell for clickbait. Also got an article on MSN about a 93-year old WWII reconnecting with a long-lost love before her death. That's a hell of a thing to survive a war and go on to live until 93. Hopefully he's got a few more years left in him

No I don't go to running message boards, yet. Might check one out soon, definitely think about it after my first marathon. As far as 5ks, 10ks, 15ks, etc, I think it's because running has definitely been around a lot longer than the US has.

I don't have many friends, the ones I do don't really run. They don't think I'm crazy, they're just impressed. Marathon running is special, at least for me, most people can't even run a half and just 7 months ago I never would've guessed I'd be trying for one early next year. I will say these 20ish mile jaunts take a lot out of my knees. Oddly one of my sexy classmates in high school (who had never run more than 3-4 miles at a time before) tried a marathon years ago. Somehow she actually finished but she couldn't walk for a week afterwards. That right there is why you have to train properly for them.

I told you about that girl I met in Munich who had run the marathon. I couldn't believe she could go out and sightsee later on that same day. I'd imagine it takes a good while to recover. It takes me *usually* 2-3 days to recover from these 19-20 mile attempts, at least for my legs. For my lungs it takes longer but I think that's just because I'm so new to running. That's quite a feat by that British guy. The next step for me is a 50K, which is about 32 miles, just gotta find one near me after June.

They have 50ks, which is 5X6.2=31 miles, iron mans which are 26.2 with some biking and swimming and double iron mans, which are 53.4 with biking and swimming. I'm not doing the Iron Man stuff, I'll stop going for higher levels after I do a 50k.
