I am chatting with Kip actually on FB and just finished uploading some new pics to Flickr and adding some movies to my collection here. I do want to add a DVD to the database. Do you guys know how to do that? Of course I'll search for a thread myself but maybe you guys can help me

I don't do steroids, I want to do this naturally, it'll be more fulfilling that way. I used to know how to add stuff to the database but that was years ago, I forgot. Ask about it in the site feedback thread, someone will help you out.

My dad used to do amateur bodybuilding and took steroids. I didn't know him during his bb days. I don't think he's had any health issues but I've always heard they were bad for you. Actually, in little old Modesto, Ca, there was a guy that passed away from health issues. I'm assuming it might have been related to steroid use. He was dating a girl that worked at the tennis club/gym that I belonged to. I'm sure I saw him after he retired so he wasn't in this kind of shape.

Good Lord that's not a size I want to get to! I think AaronJ is gone forever. I think I want to get to the kind of build most troops get to, so obviously muscular but not to the point it becomes unsightly.

Oh I actually did find the movie I wanted to add in the DB. It just didn't have artwork so I submitted the front cover. couldn't find a pic of the back cover.

I work out 6 times a week, 5 trips to the gym and 1 long run on Sundays. I also drink 2 protein shakes a day and eat a healthy high protein diet. I doubt most people are the health freak I am, so don't be calling me lazy. My brother's dog is a sled dog, be funny if I can get him to come back for my marathon, I bet his dog could outrun all of the humans.

You military types are always making excuses for your failed marriages hehe I was tempted to wait to say I was joking in my next reply. You can tell I was in the Marines but I was only in for 5 years so not nearly as long as you! This year would have been my 20 year mark. That really is great that you guys have stayed together for so long. Like Batman said, that is really neat that you guys are high school sweethearts and that she has held it down for so long while you have been gone on your deployments

I used to love working out Batman but it's been a long time. I never got big at all. I think I just didn't eat enough. I got pretty strong considering how slender I am.

Brushing my teeth and watching the new Modern Family before I jump in the shower. Well I know I haven't come that far yet in weight-lifting but today was a bit sobering. Got creamed in an arm-wrestling match with my younger brother who hasn't lifted in years, my father thought it was hilarious. Oh well, by the next time the little dork visits I'll probably be stronger than him. He definitely can't run as well as I can though.

haha that's great your dad was entertained Some of it might be technique. Yeah I really loved working out so much. I love that kind of burn which might be surprising since you know how much I dislike running. Oh that reminds me, I have to google something. Nope, sounds like something to post in that movie thread here about figuring out what a movie is. So many movie nerds on this forum, someone's bound to know. I love the burn too, it's time consuming but it's also rewarding and seems to be helping with my mental health issues. Plus the 50K thing is something so few people can do, hope I can get to 30 miles in training before February 19, would increase my chances of doing well in the marathon.

I haven't searched it yet but it shouldn't be too hard to find. lol yes, you're right about there being a lot of nerds here. and this is running 30 miles straight or 30 miles in a day...or a week or a month?

A 50k is 31 miles in one shot, as I've said. We'll see, I've gotten to 24 miles so far in training, going to do it again on Sunday(weather permitting) and then go from there. Really want to finish that marathon in under 3 hours, which would be nuts for someone who never really ran before last July.

That would be a tremendous feat for a movie nerd Of course if it rained, you could always jump on the treadmill but you'd probably rather take the day off and stuff your face with dingdongs while watching reruns of Gossip Girl

I don't watch Gossip Girl! If it rains on Sunday, I'll just move my lifting session up to Sunday and run on Monday. Even if a core session will make it harder to run. Ran last Sunday in the rain but my hood kept going everywhere and my glasses kept getting wetter so I stopped after 10 miles. At least I didn't slip. Oh and I don't eat Ding Dongs, what kind of weightlifter do you think I am?
