You actually hit the nail on the head Batman1980, my parents bought the house in 04 and we all lived together. Then my mom passed away from cancer at the same time my dad's came back & we both let the house go on repairs & upkeep, I used to think I was doing right by my dad before he pasted to keep the house. But it's to big for one person so I think he would understand because there are to many unhappy memories for me here then good anymore.

Well honestly, my father wants me to have this house. However, unless I somehow marry and have a whole bunch of kids, no way I'm keeping it. 5 bedrooms, plus the upkeep and like you, too many unhappy memories here. Could sell this place for an absolute fortune, get a much smaller house and live off the profits for quite awhile.

Exactly, mines a 3 bedroom 2 bath out in the country. Since its just me & my dog it's to much & I tried my best after all these years by myself. I'd be happier back in town in a one bedroom closer to everything. Plus I'm never getting married & having children lol

Well again, this is practically a mansion so it's not something for me. I consider it a massive ego trip on the part of my father, not going to say anything about it though since he's leaving it to me. He knows how I feel about cleaning and yardwork and yet he's leaving it to me. I do expect my siblings to lose their minds when they find out I've hired a real estate agent to sell it once I own the deed.

Yep, he grew up in West Virginia & those folks have a huge hang up about there property. Heck he had a hunting accident & bleeding out & his folks told my mom to take is truck back to there house before going to the hospital.

See I couldn't handle that, until this house I only lived in a mobile home then apartments. Besides a smaller place for me means a little more money for Blu-ray lol

I'm looking up some stuff for work, kinda bored with the globes as I am outta the loop for the majority of these shows and could not care less about most of the films nominated. May just go play some overwatch and head to bed early.

That's pretty much my reaction to the Oscars every year. Watching more Enterprise on Netflix while my dinner bakes and I moderate the Cowboys' forum.
