That's effed up, man, glad you're safe. I couldn't even imagine. Not to mention it's pretty ballsy to break-in in broad daylight. I set our alarm before we go to bed every night. My rationale is that it may not scare every intruder off, but at the very least it will give me a fighting chance to grab my gun and get off a shot in my boxer shorts! In fact, ours went off at like 3:50AM on a Sunday night a few months back, scared the SH*T outta me. Not sure I've ever sprung out of bed so fast. Turns out we had the windows open around that time and then one night the temperature dropped significantly and caused just enough of a dip in pressure to cause the window to shift and trigger the magnet on the window casing.

Anyway...if you're not super comfortable with guns, you may wanna consider a revolver, especially if there's a lady around. If you've ever seen an action movies, you can load and shoot a revolver.

and not to be a downer, but most times the person is never caught. here are some surprising statistics most people probably didn't know.

luckily i've never had to deal with it. but there have been a couple close by. and one was during the day while the people were at home. but i can tell you this, if it does happen to me, and i'm home, it may not end well for them. i am legally armed with more than one firearm and am trained and willing to use it if necessary. plus, i have a right to defend myself and my property with deadly force if i feel threatened.

Nice... They are very addictive. This is my 4th one so far. I need to pick the new one up soon. So many sets on my want list right now with some being the $300+ sets
