we had one installed a couple years ago after some break-ins that happened close to us.

i like that i can bring up the camera on my phone at any time and that i also get an alert if the alarm goes off. also, about 10 seconds later, i get a call from the security company telling me they had an alert from our system and if i want them to call the police and then ask for my security code word.

plus, i can arm and disarm the alarm from my phone. they also gave us a couple fobs (which i rarely use since it stays on my backup keys), similar to car alarm/remote fobs, but that work for the house alarm.

Ya, my Wife has the app on her phone so she can arm/disarm the house. She can also open/close the garage door as well. The doorbell camera is pretty nifty as it lets her see wut's going on @ the house whilst she is @ work. Worth the investment IMO.

I was going to have some pizza but had chicken, rice, carrot and cucumber stew instead. Will have pizza tomorrow, it's one of the guilty pleasure foods I have that goes against my strict dietary regimen once in awhile.
