I'm about to take pictures of my G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra FYE Steelbook. And I had cherry vanilla diet coke. I might go get a sundae too. I bet you hate sundaes Batman. Not only will I get hot fudge, I will also get it with strawberry topping and it will be delicious.

And I know you guys know Kip better than I do but I really think he needs to get out to California and go for it. That is what we talk about a lot of FB. I know this probably sounds totally silly but I do wish I had gone to Hollywood after I got out of the Marine Corp. I know it's crazy, me being the one that knows less about Hollywood and movies than everyone else but yeah, I should have gone for it. When Kip becomes successful screenwriter in Hollywood, I will feel less pessimistic about my shitty life
Actually, oddly it's a common thing with distance runners to slam a beer after a race. As I said, it helps dull some of the joint pain and it's a good source of carbs. Plus, they're tasty. Yes I am a health nut, both because I'm vain and because I used to be diabetic. Pain is weakness leaving the body, it's addictive for me which is why I lift 3 times a week and run 3 times a week. Still can't believe it's almost marathon time, can't wait to see the looks on people's faces when they see my time as I finish my first ever 26.2 mile run. Actually I love sundaes but my health nut lifestyle prevents me from eating them on a regular basis. I do try to seek out chocolate since it helps with the digestion of protein.

This is the kind of situation where I would want my spouse to nurse me back to health...sounds like she's not doing that though.

I'm only quoting the part that I actually cared to read but anyway haha of course I read it all. Yeah I suppose you would have some discomfort after those long distance runs. Will you start to feel less pain after you become more accustomed to running those long distances? When did you take the hobby up again? I'm sorry. I just have a terrible memory. So what is the furthest race you've done so far? And what is the furthest you have run in training? I do know that your first marathon is Feb 19th. Is that the one in Texas or is this one in NM?

I thought I quoted you too Rage but I guess not. Ok so it is something physical you're feeling. Well hopefully you get better soon. Are there any subtle hints you can drop to let your wife know it's time for her to be quiet? I suppose if there were, you would have done so by now

10K official race, 24 miles training, started running July last year because my sister wanted a running buddy. Odd thing is she's been running for 6 years but I can already outrun her, both in speed and distance. I have been told the pain in the joints and muscles will lessen with repetition and going by how I've been feeling after runs lately, I'm guessing it's true. My family actually seems at least a little psyched for my marathon run, hope I don't disappoint. Time of 3 hours and 10 minutes on that 24 mile run on CHRISTMAS, (that still surprises me) so hoping with two more months of training I'll be able to finish a marathon in a similar time.

Wow that's incredible. I was stumped for just a half a second wondering if 24 miles was actually longer than a marathon but no, it's just a couple miles shorter. So July of '16. I'm sure being a guy has a lot to do with being able to outrun her but also you probably are pretty...maybe not gifted but you are probably achieving better results than the average person. Do you have a list of marathons you would like to run? I know Boston would be at the top. I'm assuming SF must have one. I would think the big cities would all have one. That's great that your family is taking an interest in your running.

Of course they are, my sister is a runner and I'm pretty sure I'm the only actual active marathon runner in the family. Yeah being a guy is a factor, plus I train a lot more. Better results than the average person? I think probably yes but again I run 3 times a week and I eat much healthier than an average person as well. Boston is at the top, not sure where else I want to run, will have to settle for nearby races for now due to lack of travel funds. Plus marathons themselves tend to be quite expensive, some are $100 and up.

Well I guess my mom is into my hobbies. She knows I love traveling but...
Anyway, yeah I did google it a couple weeks ago when we were talking about it and I think this year or last year's entry fee to the BM is or was $185. I think I caught something that said the average cost for running the marathon and everything that is involved with getting there is like $4,000.

I bet that pasta is going to be good Boogaloo. I would be happy to have some if you want to share

Eh, not really much she can do...I don't have body aches or anything, it's just all from my neck up. I just needed some chill/down time. Still feeling poopy today...STILL.

I hate paying bills because I never have anything left over to do things I actually want to do.
