Wow and here I thought it was normal for people to be close to their parents, guess not. I do wish I was because they're family but they're just not easy to get along with...at all.

My wife is close with her family. And they are basically my family now, despite a few of them being a little crazy lol.

Our kids though, despite very young, are learning what family should truly be about.

Anyway, just got off the phone with my tax preparer...taxes are filed and I'm getting back a nice chunk of change! Sadly, it's all going in the bank and/or paying off debt as I hope to be debt-free very soon.

Hey, whittling down debt is wonderful for the bank account AND the psyche and since you spend 1/3 of your life in bed, a new bed is money well spent. Wins all around in my opinion!

Honestly, I can't complain a bit...within the past 6 months, I bought myself a new Vizio 4K TV and a new Oppo 4K UHD Blu-ray player, so I'm good on the toy front for a long, long time.

Bills suck but at least my new car is worth it and I will probably be driving it for 14+ years after it's paid off.

Treat it well with regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance and drive it until the wheels fall off. I actually baby mine a little bit more and use ethanol free gas in it. Yes, it's more expensive but it drives so much smoother and will have far less engine deposits in the future.
