I just wanted to thank those of you that offered kind words when I posted about my mom.

She indeed had a heart attack right in front of me and was saved by an amazing medical staff. She was in CCU until about 2 hours ago. She seems to be doing incredibly better and is able to breathe on her own and communicate well.

She has a very weak heart still and has a rough road ahead of her, but I guaran****ingtee you all that she will know she is well loved every single moment she has left here!

If it's not too personal/hard for you to tell us, is she at least a high priority recipient on the UNOS list?

Bro! On the one hand...I'm like "Why is he posting this in this whacky thread?" on the other hand...You reached out so I'm glad we could be here for you. In situations like that, it is hard to make decisions and I'm glad you are ok now. The chances your mom can pull through are very high.

Take care and make sure you get some rest.

Man...I seriously hope she's ok. I lost a parent early on and it's not something I'd wish on anybody.

so good to hear. i'm glad she's doing better and breathing on her own and communicating. those are very good signs.

I wasn't aware of the UNOS list until I read your post. While her heart is weak, she needs to have surgery on her gall bladder to fix other complications. Unfortunately, any type of invasive surgery is out of the question because of the risk of heart failure. They can only prescribe medications to try to help her gall bladder, but this could also cause problems with her already dwindling kidney function. She couldn't receive an organ from anyone else and she doesn't really have any viable ones to donate to anyone else at the moment.

Man...I seriously hope she's ok. I lost a parent early on and it's not something I'd wish on anybody.

When she was having the heart attack, I was trying to do anything to take my mind off of watching and hearing her suffer, and I saw the "what are you doing right now" thread and just figured I'd vent a little.

I'm trying to rest, but it's difficult. My mom is 75 now, so I'm definitely grateful for the amount of time I've been blessed to have her here already. I couldn't imagine losing a parent early on. My heart goes out to you.

Congrats; it'll feel great once its all paid off - believe me! I Just paid off, between my fiancee and myself's outstanding debt, over 30,000$ over the last 2 years! Sad part is only $5k of that was mine, and she still has just over $10k left.

It is a good feeling indeed! Excluding my car loan which I don't really consider debt I only have about $5K left of debt which I am hammering every paycheck. Freedom is near. They call it debtors' prison for a reason.

Thanks guys, it's coming from the sale of my house. I took care of one of the three from collections on my credit report & just now scheduled my final payment on my Amazon rewards creditcard. I'm hoping I can get it taken care of as fast as I can before credit checks start happening on apartment applications.
