Rage, do you have pictures of your CD collection? When I read, "Huge wall unit of CD's", it made me picture those wall racks/cases from Ikea. I think those are pretty cool looking. It also makes me think of some of those places that sell stuff like cases. They also sell the types of display where you can put the album in frame behind glass and display the front of the case as opposed to the spine. I've never bought any but I thought they would be pretty cool to showcase your favorite albums.
I'm slackin'. It's gotta be 5 o'clock somewhere right?

No clue, besides a sh*t ton. I am working on cataloguing them using the Discogs app, but it's going EXTREMELY slowly as I'm sure you can tell, haha. Hmm, not real sure...

Hmm, I might have to check that Discogs out. I was wondering if there were any sites for cataloging music. I don't have nearly as many as you but I did go through a buying phase. Oh, I'll post some pics of my imported albums. Searching for imported CDs is what led me to discover the world of imported DVDs.

I wasn't in jail long enough to miss anything too terribly but I'm loving having iTunes again. Listening to the Eagles right now. Damn they do have some good song. Currently it's The Long Run right now. Already listened to Take It To The Limit and Take It Easy I think. Now I want to listen to...ah, it's Already Gone

Music and I are never on the same page.

I have a decent collection of CDs (nothing like Rage's, though). These are now are older ones as I really haven't bought any in quite some time. Several times, I forget the terms and software, but I placed each CD into the computer and copied select songs to be then placed on the computer. I think it was Real Player? I don't remember. I had an extensive collection of songs on the computer, along with the ones I downloaded from LimeWire. Then the laptop would later crash or die and repeat process all over... few more times.

Then, I was VERY late in the game, as usual, but I started to buy songs/albums from Google Play Store. I did that for a small bit but never stuck with it. I just don't use my phone for music much. In the car while driving I opt for local radio. Even now, with Pandora account, I just use local radio.

And I sit here and I can say I'd love to have the ability to have CD's, that I could use to transfer those songs onto all other devices. I would like to buy a turn table for my man cave, but then that's even more expenses as I'd be buying vinyl, which then still doesn't allow me to use those songs elsewhere.

Good points Biz. I've heard of LimeWire but I've never really used it. Most of my purchases came from iTunes because 1. I know it's legal and 2. it was easy enough that even my dumbass could figure it out lol
I've used Jamendo before which is free for indie artists. I downloaded a few album like back in 2007.
I've bought at least one or two songs from Amazon and then I helped my dad buy a .38 Special song on his phone via their store.

Lately I've been adding free music and then not trying to share or resell it

It's a good app, it's worked well for me so far, but I kinda just started using it.

I like the Eagles enough to buy a Greatest Hits collection but not enough to buy the individual albums if that makes sense. After all, as we all well know about The Dude...

I guess I feel the same way about the Eagles. I do have a greatest hits album and there are at least a dozen songs on it that I like. I have not seen The Big Lebowski
I do tend to like quite a bit of different music. I think Jay-Z and Billy Joel have the largest footprints in my library. I do need to go back and add some new music that I heard while I was away.

I don't know if anyone even read my post at the top but I mentioned Jamendo being free for indie artists. I didn't mean that it's free only if you're an indie artist. It just seemed to feature a lot of indie artists that people probably weren't familiar with. I think these were up and comers that would just be happy having their music heard by anyone outside their friends and family lol

haha Rage I didn't put the eek because I can't believe that I haven't seen it but I would think that others would be surprised. It seems to be quite a popular movie.

I saw a REALLY good looking girl at Starbucks just a short while ago and I said absolutely nothing...which is probably a good thing because I probably saved myself a lot of embarrassment

That's exactly what I was thinking when was typing my reply Kip I got my haircut and shave once while I was in. It was kind of cool because I never really know how to style my facial hair. I'll probably shave here pretty soon. I might not go all the way on any part of my face (not even my neck) but I'll hit it everything with the electric just to knock it down.

Grow a handlebar mustache. Then you can twirl it.

I never understood why athletic programs would use McDonald's of all places for their fundraisers... I mean, I realize they're popular and the best bet for the most return but the irony of "junk fast food" to fund a sport still baffles me
