I might go H&R Block this year for my taxes..my old CPA I don't trust anymore... How is H&R Block? Can you just drop off your stuff? Or do you have to wait?

It depends on what you have going on besides your job.

You should wait...it is all very organized. If you own a home, own a business and are married with children it will take longer for you than it does for me because I am single. Also, if you a registered member of the assassin's guild, it is recommended that you file your taxes quarterly assuming you declare each job.

EDIT: The two most important things to remember with H&R Block are:
A) The more money you get back, the more they get paid for doing your taxes
B) If you go to court they have to go with you and if you go to prison, they have to go with you.

SO...you don't have to worry about them cooking your books or not getting you the max refund. If you'd like to talk more about it, feel free to pm me.

Yeah I'm married, filing jointly ,own a house, I have deductions, most of last year I was unemployed, had to withdraw from my SEP etc.

Even with my deductions I'm sure I'll owe this year...

Few questions about H&R Block..

So if I do declare I work for the assassins guild, can I claim my apprentice as a dependent?

Also, can I claim my cloak, dagger, shovel, and piano wire as business related expenses? I mean, I play the piano, but the wire can also be used to "persuade" clients, so it's a business tool.

On topic: Just catching up on sleep from our 10 hour drive last night. It is so fricking cold up here, I just don't want to go outside lol. Finance has her bridal shower tomorrow and I have my tux fitting on Monday, so that should be fun.

Jbig31: Yeah I'm originally from Wayland and I'm staying about 5 mins from the Gun Lake Casino at my moms house. I see you're from Grandville, I haven't been to Rivertown in at least 6 months, anything new up there lately?

Serously? Where do you work that they allow cloaks? They get in the way and can get snagged. You could get caught on something, fall and hurt yourself. C'mon man.

As long as the apprentice is under the legal "retiring" age which is 7 you are okay. If your apprentice is over the age of 7, I highly doubt the board would take your abilities as an instructor seriously since they should already be working.

Shovels are considered personal items and non-essential to the trade and let's be honest...they only use piano wire in the movies.
Get your self a good syringe set and then you'll get your write-offs.

Oh and NEVER by your suppressor online!

I went to the store, and made some lunch or dinner, whatever you wanna call it. I also picked up This is 40 and Rise of the Guardians at the movie Kiosk from the same grocery store.

Yeah, it's freaking cold here right now. Yeah, things have been starting to pop in the last 6 months or so. A new Target open right across Wilson Ave a few months ago across from Rivertown, and Cabela's just opened right next to Target yesterday! A plethora of new restaurants are opening up on the 44th St corridor between 196 and Byron Center! I live right in the area and the traffic is getting thicker and thicker!

Funny you said you're from Wayland, just stopped there on Wednesday afternoon and got some gas at the Speedway on the way home from Kalamazoo. If your bored come on up to Grandville!

btw...Les Stroud aka Surviorman, is going to be at Cabela's tomorrow-Sat the 23rd. from 1-3 pm! Not sure if I'm going to brave the crowds for that!
