sittin' here chillin'.

had some people over and they just left a little bit ago. we had a good time. i grilled some burgers and dogs and we sat outside (for the most part, kinda hot today) and just chatted and hung out.

weather was kinda iffy, though.

it started raining about 30 minutes before people started showing up and it stopped about 10 minutes later.

then when everyone was leaving it started to rain a little bit again. so i guess i timed it just right. we got all the outside part out of the way while it wasn't raining.


all-in-all a good day.

Sitting in my dorm room, alone. My roommate hasn't moved in yet. I have to admit, I am somewhat depressed about leaving my family. I'm sure I'll get over it but right now I really don't want to be here.

No not really, I just feel, alone. But I guess I have always felt like that, I just thought it might be different here and you never know, it might be.

I'm really hoping I'll get use to it, which I'm sure I will. It's a really nice campus and I was thinking about introducing myself to some of the other students here. I am too nervous and kind of sad to do that right now though.

I never could be social in the small town that I grew up, maybe that's where my shyness comes from.

I think what really made me sad though was seeing all the parents with their kids helping them move in. I took a plane here so I was all by myself.

I can see why. I think almost everyone would be if they saw that. But I hope you get through it. It's one of the reasons you went to college right to meet new interesting people and interact with em.
