It doesn't even need that promo though, both of the first two films made more domestically than Transformers' biggest film domestically.

Other than The Phantom Menace, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises, I don't really recall trailers/prologues being a selling point for a movie. Plus, Lionsgate already uploaded that promo clip in 4K, which exceeds the resolution of most people's computer monitors anyway.

Studios pay to have trailers put on movies. Unless its the same studio that the movie is released. Usually the last trailer or two will be from the same studio and the film. It's weird how trailers work. What gets me is when a big movie comes out and they are all bad trailers.

I'm REALLY getting tired of this latest trend of splitting the final part of a trilogy into 2 films.

Hey Hollywood, why stop there....split the final film into 3!

Writer Steve Kloves mentioned that idea to producer David Heyman when he was adapting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
