All the so called 'hits' this year were never as good as advertised. It started with the ridiculous hype with the Lego Movie, which was called by one reviewer possible the best film ever, then a few weeks later they were saying Captain America 3 was the best film ever, then Apes was the best ever, then Xmen was the best ever, and it just continued. All those films had great critical praise but none were as good as advertised.

The reality is this was a very bad year for film and critics, attempting to protect their jobs, pumped all these movies up with hot air in an attempt to drive ticket sales. All it ended up doing was disappointing people which drove sales down.
Do you even like movies? Because pretty much every comment I see from you is "movies suck, movies are terrible, the people who make movies movies are awful!"

I mean, seriously?

No year with GOTG, Cap 2, Gone Girl, The Raid 2 and John mother****ing Wick can be considered a "bad year".

I know, right? Every movie to them is a 0/5. And the worst movie ever according to them.

I like his movies too. I feel some think they are too cool for certain things. hence the hate. Like they gotta hate on what's popular at the moment.

This just passed X-Men: Days of Future Past, Maleficent, and Transformers 4 for fourth place. It should pass both The Lego Movie and Captain America: The Winter Soldier by about Friday/Saturday for second place.

Every other movie in the Top Ten had 3D upcharges. This goes to show you, higher 3D prices aren't needed to win.

You'd be singing a different tune if Mockingjay was in IMAX like the previous movies were.

Oh, that's what you meant. Gotcha. But I loved Interstellar, so it's fallen on deaf ears I'm afraid.

Yes, but are you going to fly from the UK to patronize this particular IMAX?

I don't remember reading a single review this year that said "best movie ever." Were there a lot of highly praised films this year? Yes. Maybe you're building up your expectations to have a life-changing experience with each film that you see, and thus coming out disappointed. And that's your fault.

Yeah, but Interstellar is awesome in IMAX - absolutely the best way to watch it, and vastly superior to a regular cinema.
Now let's face it, nothing in this film would be beneficial for IMAX. There's no need for it.

It's awesome even when no one is watching?
