Buried under a mountain of debt and trying to get out. I will probably see this at least once more but I doubt it will be this year. Spending $ I don't have to spend is how I got into this mess to begin with.

This movie was such a let down. Boring, generic, and advanced the plot very little for two hours.

I still fail to see why that's a valid criticism.

I'd say the problem is it's all boring drama and no payoff(which would include action). But it's a faithful adaptation of the first half of the book, so blame the source material and Lionsgate's greed.

BTW, on the topic of YA novels and their bigscreen adaptations, has there been any word yet on Fox's plans with The Death Cure(the 3rd Maze Runner book) and whether they plan to split that into two parts? Cuz if people thought Mockingjay Part 1 was uneventful, wait til they get a load of the cure for insomnia the first half of that novel was.

Yes, movies like The Firm are all drama and little or no action, so I don't think it's lack of action alone is why some people don't like it.

There is a payoff: the big infiltration scene at the end, followed by one big cliffhanger. I thought it was interesting enough.

You're right though, the movie's overall plotline is flatter than all the others, and it is a bit of a greedy tactic to psyche people up for the last movie.

Saw this again today for a second time. I enjoyed it slightly better a second time around but I can still see how some scenes drag for a little too long making it a bit boring in some instances. Still giving it a 3.5/5.

I still have a lot of faith in Part 2.

How many times already dude? I still love the "If we burn, you burn with us!" scene. That line and that scene gives me goosebumps every time

Only twice. Hope to see it again around Christmas time. Gotta keep up my traditional from last year of seeing her films in December. Saw SLP in Dec. AH and CF in Dec. I've seen it once this month. And next year will have both MJ2 and Joy i'll likely see in Dec.

Yeah, same here. That whole scene really. And the last 20 minutes honestly.
