That could increase her screen time substantially and I like Jena Malone quite a bit so I'd be on board with that.

Yeah, I always felt like Johanna got almost totally brushed aside in most of the first half of Mockingjay, especially after Katniss had mentioned in CF how close Johanna and Finnick were.

That actually tracks then, planting the seeds for Johanna's increased role in the final 2 films. About halfway through my second read of the book, actually intend to read it a third time in November if I can.

What I wonder is how the film is going to play with the Annie/Finnick dynamic now that the films have increased the Annie/Finnick/Johanna tension.

In the book, there was no romantic tension between Finnick and Johanna, but the movie definitely plays that up, and with Johanna's seemingly stronger arc...I'm excited about the possibilities (though I know they still won't get together in the end).

But maybe I'm just saying this because I never really warmed to Annie as a character.

Don't know if it was mentioned. But the Annie character was cast a while back. And only mentioned not to long ago.

I'd be surprised if they didn't use the same actress for Annie that was used during the Catching Fire tribute scene where Mags volunteered.

I think they cast a different actress. Because this would be a bigger role.

They are. Stef Dawson will appear in Mockingjay. Remember, her casting announcement for Mockingjay was in August 2013. She just cameoed in CF (because I'm assuming they told her in person that she got the part much earlier).

Hawkeye didnt, his arrow stuck to the side then the c4 exploded and disabled a single rudder. But yes i get your point.

I read that beetee makes special explosive arrows for Karniss. Whether that's true or not i don't know. Just something I read online about it. Which would explain the thing exploding from the arrows.
