That was my reaction too.

No, I haven't. But I will read the books after the movies are over.

They are a lot better than I was expecting them to be, honestly. Collins is a fairly good writer.

You should read them before, that is the way it is done.

I don't like knowing what's going to happen. So if i see something in a trailer or TV spot. I don't know if that's a spoiler. Compared to if i read it.

here you go Aaron.

Thanks!

I never understood why people shield themselves from "spoilers". To me, there's no such thing. A movie (or story told via any method) should not depend on "surprises" to "work".

I don't think it's as simple as you're making it out to be, frankly. There's a difference between that amazing experience you have the first time you see a film with a really shocking twist, and the film "working."

Psycho works just fine, I've seen it a gazillion times, and I still love it every time for instance. But the first time I saw it, that was a different experience altogether.

OTOH, with the "Hunger Games" movies, after the first movie I read all the books. So, in essence, I'm spoiled. But it doesn't matter to me in this case.

I didn't avoid spoilers for, say, The Wolf of Wall Street (which hopefully I will watch tonight) since I already knew the story. But when my friends and I went and saw The Shining when we were 11, and none of us had any real idea what it was about, that was one of the greatest movie-going experiences of my life.

I still enjoy watching The Shining, though. Did the other night in fact, and loved it yet again. But I'm glad that I didn't know a thing before seeing it that first time.

So, I think it just depends.

I mean for some spoilers I guess I'm okay with. It's just the ones I'm really invested in.

What you posted is what people tell me all the time, but I have never been so "amazed" by a first viewing of any movie to the point where I decided to change my habits.

Fair enough. Everyone's different.

I can say that I have been pretty happy a few times recently that I stayed away from spoilers.

Heard Jen is getting praised yet again for her continuing role as Katniss.

It's Jen's world and we just live in it.

Funny. I was just reading an article today that said that "It's just Taylor Swift's world, we just live in it."

I guess they will have to Battle it out Hunger Games style. And to the victor goes the spoils. J-Law vs. T-Swizzle

Well, T-Swizzle is taller.

Either way, I'd pay to see that. A LOT!

Well, you've either got this:

Personally, Taylor is WAY scarier.
