That would be hilarious if the whole theater goes ape s*** and tears it down. They should do that in a spoof movie.

be funny if you see it on the news. People tear down theater over sudden ending to the film. You know they don't do funny things in spoof movies anyway. Just use poor imitations of current pop culture references.

I accidentally saw what I guess could be a spoiler. And someone said it'll end with

[Show spoiler]Peeta choking Katniss and that's where it'll end.

So yeah. I guess like Jen said. You'll be pretty PO'ed if that's where it splits.

Also did the end of the movie piss you off? because that's something Jennifer has been quoted as saying. That the end of the movie will piss you off.

No, it did not piss me off. There is no doubt that is ends with a cliff hanger, but I was not mad where it ended. I actually thought, that for splitting the book into 2 parts, this was a good way to leave you hanging and wanting more.

That being said, my sister came with me, and she has read the books, and I think she was a little frustrated at where the movie ended.

No, it does not end at the moment you mentioned, although it is close to the end.

So you're saying its a bit more frustrating if you've read the books? I forgot. You say if you've read them or not? I haven't read them. So i know nothing but what I've seen the trailers and TV spots so far.

I have not read them. It seems, from what I can tell, that those who read the books are more frustrated at where the movie splits. Everyone I spoke with enjoyed it. I saw it with a ton of people (The company I work for took everyone to see it who wanted to go. Each person could bring a +1)

Move to Utah, and the chances are maybe ... They take the company to a few movies each year. We went and saw captain america: winter soldier (The company rented about 7 screens) earlier in the year.

Well, that's good to hear all enjoyed the film. And that was super cool of them to do.

Having not read the books, it ended at a point where I was like "You've got to be kidding me" ....

In the sense that I really want to know what happens and I am excited to see where it will go from here. It end at a point where it feels like it is building towards something, but there was no way for them to explore it in this film, without having it just be one long 4 hour film.

[Show spoiler]and one diametric shift to previous entries, I would like to say this film maintains the high standards of the previous two movies.

This film reveals the depths and the plight of the underprivileged in the aftermath of Katniss's actions a swift and powerful stroke from President Snow has in no uncertain terms outshone any weakness revealed as the facade of the games came crashing down (never let them see you bleed, he says). The game has lost the gloss of the annual event to hide the disparity in class and subsequently the focus of this film is heavily on the voice over the masses, carefully constructed propaganda to engender passion to form a cause from both sides.

I have to say seeing this I couldn't help but make an extrinsic connection to real life "video propaganda", I have found that this has infact affected how I view the plight of the districts who are using these techniques to power self sacrifice (hence bombing of the hydro power station). It made me feel uneasy, which interestingly enough kinda helped to understand the turmoil Katniss herself must have been experiencing as the march went on. almost as unwilling under president Snow in the previous movies. We know it must happen but is it right?. well that's the fight for life, and I am glad my visit was only to see a movie.

So this film does not climax to a point of win/win after cgi heavy battles, it is very much a win/loss after surving and still holding trump cards, it may be a criticism that the ending is abrupt but I am interested in booking a ticket for the next film.

The sound design was terrific, I sure felt the intensity of bombardment in a deep underground shelter, a terrific tool for highlighting the plight of the affected vs how much does the opposition really know?.

you'll need to see the film for that weird one.

some little moments of hilarity through out adds some welcome respite.
