The Mean Girls GIFs got a little out of hand, but closed for a whole month seems harsh. But I'm not a moderator, so just disregard my ramblings...

To be honest, this may be a little personal pet peeve about the film series, but I was always bothered how the Mockingjay symbol (and pin) was so important, but the film never adequately (to me) explained why.
I mean, the film gets the gist of it across, but the pin had much a rich backstory that isn't even referenced. That's one of the few missed opportunities the film series had. Last edited by GoldMotel; 11-21-2014 at 06:33 AM. |

Took my friend to see it, wasn't paying attention to it and regularly walked out to make small talk. Having never seen the previous films, made the right decision of going in hammered.
But yo, Jennifer Lawrence is on another level of sexiness here. You can ignore my ignorance on everything else, but she was straight fire. Only reason I wasted your time by making this post. |

[Show spoiler] Man, I wish I had stayed for the after credits. I was surprised they didn't do that logo reveal right at the beginning of the credits like in Catching Fire. And because there hasn't been a precedent for after credits in The Hunger Games flicks so far (I actually stayed thru the credits of the first two movies), I didn't feel compelled to stay. But I did honestly feel like I was going to miss out on something by leaving early. Oh, and was anyone surprised that they actually used a real title card for this movie with the actual logo font? I was stunned. Now it just feels inconsistent. Lol. With Harry Potter you always expected a big budget cloud sequence to spectacularly reveal the Harry Potter title, but for the past two Hunger Games outings they feel like they were just tacked on in black and white as "just a reminder" that you were indeed watching a Hunger Games movie. Couldn't even emboss and color it like one of the propos that played during the film "JOIN THE FIGHT!" (which reminded me of Covergirl and Subway's tie-in with Catching Fire from last year. lol) Last edited by VagueSimplicity; 11-21-2014 at 10:45 AM. |
