So is it also a ugh moment when a man turns into a hulking beast in The Avengers?
Plus she shot the one plane and the other just so happen to crash into the other. Would it have been more believable with a machine gun?

Had it been flying past her sideways, I probably would've felt the same way. However, it was flying towards her, which means that as a target, the hovercraft was getting "bigger" and "bigger" (relatively speaking).

If this is the future of Hollywood movies, count me out.

How can you not watch this film and be full of dread and worry over the upcoming two part Justice League and Infinity Wars films? This whole cliffhanger/two part movie crap is ruining film and it will ruin Hollywood. In time the general audience will catch out and they'll rebel against it, and at that point, after Hollywood has ruined about a decades worth of these films they will stop, but it will be too late because the damage is already done.

The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug & soon The Battle of Five Armies: dragged out and split up to increase profit = crap

The Matrix Reloaded and the Matrix Revolutions: dragged out and split up to increase profit = crap

Mocking Jay Part 1 and 2: dragged out and split up to increase profit = crap

My instinct said skip Mocking Jay Part 1, wait to rent it. But being a sucker for punishment as well as someone who will always maintain a shred of faith in the human spirit to not be a greedy self absorbed sack of manure, I decided to go see it in theaters.

And what a mistake that was.

Hollywood must be laughing their heads off while holding parties with olympic size swimming pools filled with nothing but cold hard cash. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I wont be fooled again.

Theres so much dialogue in this film I might as well have just read the book. All the dramatic moments? Been there done that in the first two films. Its all rehashed here. Problem is repeating something for three straight films kind of numbs you to it. Oh boy, Katniss had her 18th nightmare. She had about 5 in the first movie and 12 in the second. You gotta find another way for the audience to understand her fragile state. This movie doesnt even try. Its nothing more then a money printing press. It doesnt care about being original, or being art, or anything worthwhile. It exists to put butts in the seats of theaters and make the fat cats who financed it rich. Nothing more.

A repulsive effort after Catching Fire. This is scumbag Hollywood at its absolute worse. Gosh they didnt even try. Action sequences? Dream on. How about 30 minutes of dialogue then a 60 second poorly thought out and filmed actions sequence followed by 30 more minutes of dialogue. The rebels in this film could easily be swapped out for brainless zombies. Seriously,
[Show spoiler]something as big as the water power planet being taken out deserved no build up, planning, or proper action sequence besides a brainless zombie hoard of 'rebels' getting mowed down?

How lazy can this film be? They didnt even try to build up any emotion or suspense in this film. Instead its just shoved in your face without ever attempting to earn it. All the 'drama' moments hang on the coat tails of the previous films. What a disgrace.

I'm done with this franchise. No way I'll be seeing the 2nd in the theaters as I'm not going to be a brainless drone like the rebels in this film.

And the ending, with
[Show spoiler]Peeta turning into a zombie in restraints
completely sealed this film's fate. It was laughably bad.

You do realize that mainstream films with large budgets aren't the only movies being made, right?

Movie was terrible. I still don't understand the appeal of this horrible franchise.

The problem is that President Snow supposedly treats everybody horribly and life is so unbearable for everyone, but you can never feel bad for anyone because they don't show you anything worthwhile. Oh no, guards in white Power Ranger suits are coming into town! President Snow is sitting at the Capitol and giving someone the evil eye! Who gives a shit?

Also, hearing Jennifer Lawrence cry is like nails on a chalkboard.

I enjoyed this quite a fair bit. It was beautifully shot, the editing was excellent, the score was breathtaking, the film as a whole was emotional, mature, grim and thematic and felt like a film in its own right rather than an extended preview of whats to come. It had its own narrative which was followed through to the end of the film and it also set up part 2 very well indeed. The Hanging Tree/dam sequence is one of the best bits of cinema I've seen this year!

Some people are not happy that this movie was split up. Would those of you be willing to pay double to see a longer feature? 3.5-4 hours, with or without an intermission?

It should've taken you out more in Catching Fire when she hit the dome, from the ground! In an earlier scene, she has to climb to the top of a tree to hit the dome.

Catching Fire is perfect in my eyes so I was able to overlook it (maybe she's trying much much harder, I told myself). hehe

Ah finally some of you are getting it This movie seems to be the worst offender for the splitting of movies as (apparently) nothing happens in this.

i'll give it a shot. I suppose you can only really judge the parts as a whole when they are complete. would love to see a resurgence of "Intermission" like Vinyl :P.

have not really had an issue with such movies being split, however.
