Default inFAMOUS vs. Prototype

Okay, you guys. You've all been b**ching about which sandbox game is better. If you don't know what to decide, here are some pros and cons for each game:

inFAMOUS

Pros: Gorgeous graphics, the story is compelling, awesome gameplay, intuitive karma moments that really catches the player's moral decisions, an expansive open world, easily found collectables (shards, dead drops).

Cons: Some pop-up grains, boss battles seem to be easy (yes, Sasha, we're looking at you), sometimes, it's simply hard to climb some buildings, and powers aren't really unique in some way.

Prototype

Pros: A very interesting story, a fresh variety of enemies, EVERYONE is your enemy, very cool power-ups, intelligent AI, seamless power-up menu, the city is easy to explore, and a character so badass, it'll make Cole jealous.

Cons: The graphics are mediocre, sometimes, even the whole city just pop-up, Manhattan seems a bit too inaccurate, the controls are clunky, the collectables are hard to find you literally have to be next to them to collect it, the story seems to be more linear than a non-linear gameplay, and a lot of the missions don't actually require you to use a specific move.

Which game is better in your opinion? Pick your choice, and post your decisions.

2 completely different games (I own both) both are great in their own respects and really shouldn't be compared to each other.

One of them has to be better though. It's a grudge match between two superhero-based sandbox games, and only one can stand out. I understand your point, and personally I think both games are cool.

I am looking to get one of the two right now, but am unsure which to get. Metacritic has them rated quite close. I played the Infamous demo and loved it, but Prototype looks awesome as well. Any idea which one I should get?

There's a Pros and Cons section on the OP. Should get you the attention on what to buy.

Completely different?! What reasoning? Open-world, powers-based weapons...How much more similar could two games be? That's like saying KZ2 and COD are two completely different games. Oh right, one has aliens, you can't compare them.

So by your logic this poll should include Grand Theft Auto and Viking?

Does GTA include superpower-based weaponry? And I've never even heard of Viking but if it's similar to GTA, then of course not and now you're just grasping at straws.

No but the weapons upgrade as you go along, Viking you unlock skills along the way, same crap different pile right? Open world games, upgradeable "powers/weapons", missions to do....

inFamous = Very structured, even when not on a mission there are limits to what you can do and your powers are limited. Side missions are ho-hum and are not repeatable.

Protoype = a non stop gorefest, do what you want when you want and you have acquirable vehicles and the side missions are ranked, bronze, silver gold, platinum, you can always go back and try to better your scores.
