Default Prototype or inFAMOUS?

The more updates we see the more they look the same. I think they both look great but that might be because I can't really tell them apart. With very close release dates, my question is which one are you going to buy if any?

inFAMOUS

I trust Sucker Punch more because they focus on good controls. Plus, in terms of power sets, I like having some limitations on what I can do. I think having too much freedom in a game is boring.

I don't understand the "they look the same" comments at all. Prototype looks like a pretty straightforward over the top action game whereas inFAMOUS provides free adventure with sidemissions, story that may actually be worth paying attention to rather than just filling a gap, greater depth to pretty much everything.

And while inFAMOUS probably won't win awards for its graphics, at least it looks current.

I'm more interested in iNfamous right now.

Prototype has potential, but looking a bit dated right now for me.

shin-ra: you don't think that the story lines are similar with the "every-man" given super powers all of a sudden and then having to develop these powers for either good or evil while in a open-world metropolis. Not to mention both have very altiar, assassins creed, like movents (climbing, jumping, falling, free-running). I just see far too many similarities to justify getting both.

I'm more interested in inFAMOUS given the open world nature of the game. However, I must admit the videos I've seen haven't impressed me much at all. The controls will have to be spot-on for the gameplay to be successful, and I just think it may misfire like Force Unleashed.

I'm waiting for reviews on it, and probably for a few price discounts too.

Yea, pretty sure they are both open-world. I'm going to go with prototype. Incredible Hulk: Ulitimate Destruction was a blast, I'm sure this will do just as well. Though infamous does look pretty good all I've seen is a guy shocking these people with red hoods and no faces. These two games will be almost identical I feel.

From some of the trailer I saw prototype had a "resident evil feeling"
But I think overall infamous will be a more polished game

Then, you haven't read enough (or hardly anything) about inFAMOUS IMO.

inFAMOUS shots are supersampled but still, people actually confuse these games for one another?

If that bottom one is Prototype, it looks extremely bad. That looks like, well, a prototype.

definetly Infamous. The developers showed an alpha build of Prototype on Gamepot last year that turned me off from that game. I dont think they should have released footage that early
