Glad to hear they're making a fifth installment. I'll be there opening night.

Well, Ford was great in The Force Awakens. Don't see why he can't still play Indy, he's kept himself in great shape.
But in fairness Walt he is too old now its going to have to take something special from Spielberg to correct the mistake that was the crystal skull and how to get the best out of Ford who then will be a 76 year old man.

Something going on with Inhumans, that hasn't been announced?

They won't use the castle, there's no reason to. Which is why they didn't with Star Wars.

Not having Lucas is a start to course correction for many. As for Ford being too old, I don't really agree. He can still do it. I think this is most likely going to be a finale film, so lets let Spielberg and Ford do it they see fit. It's inevitable it'll be rebooted, but I'm happy to watch Ford and Spielberg do one last film to retire the character their way. I'd rather they do that than end it with Crystal Skull, which I admittedly like, but don't want as the last film.

Personally, I really liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It was far better than The Temple of Doom, for me. Still, I can understand where people thought it went off course. A 5th one gives an opportunity for complete redemption for Ford AND a good way to transition into a continued reboot.

Crystal Skull is flawed and the worst one by a mile for me, but it was also WAY over-hated. People want these revivals to be exactly the same quality as they had as a kid, which is impossible. If you try and squint and see Crystal Skull as its own thing then it's a solid adventure movie. It just has a few silly moments that are annoying and an overly fake look to it.

I'm with you. As I said above, I like Crystal Skull, and I've grown to even love it, flaws and all, because the film IS flawed. But I think that this gives Ford and Spielberg the chance to give the character the send off they believe he deserved, versus what Lucas made them do. It also gives the chance to do a reboot within the timeline, and finding an actor, like River Phoenix in The Last Crusade, to do films set before Raiders, or even between Last Crusade and Crystal Skull. I think there's a lot of room to do something good for the fans, as well as for Spielberg and Ford themselves, so I'm all about this.

I suppose that could be. Hope all is well in that film's development, I'm extremely excited about it. Really not interested in seeing it move in favor of Indy 5, but we'll see!

I think it's obvious after today's announcement that Inhumans is moving. There's no way Disney pits these two against each other. This movie is on a much quicker timetable, for obvious reason, than Inhumans, so it's easy to see why they'd move it in favor of this.

The Temple of Doom is still the best one in the whole series, imo. But aside that, I agree. Crystal Skull wasn't bad at all. There are two or three terrible scenes with the worst CGI possible, but the rest of it was just fine.

I liked Kingdom. Definitely the fourth best Indiana Jones movie, and not up to par with the others (and I re-watch it the least) but it's not a bad movie at all.

I'm really looking forward to another Spielberg and Ford Indy adventure. Disney and Lucasfilm pleased me and most people with The Force Awakens, so I'm confident their Indy 5 will be good.

The question is, will Pratt sign on for this flick in some capacity? Or will they just reboot after 5 with Pratt playing Indy? James Bond style..

Or how about he gets his own damn character and we let Indy ride off into the sunset in the next installment? Create new characters. Don't recast someone in an iconic role because you are too lazy to create a new character.
