He probably starts training or costume fitting in two months. Still plenty of time to hit that 9th July 2021 release date if they start at the end of summer.

The idea of flashing back to earlier in Indy's career is a great idea, providing the team at ILM can pull off flawless de-aging fx. Not sure how the story could go with it set in 1969 or so, outside of the Nasa Moon Landing etc ...

Got to admit I would love to see a de-aged Harrison. The effect at the beginning of Terminator Dark Fate was astoundingly good I thought.

I'd rather see Jones in 1969 battling hippies in Indiana Jones and the Mystery of the Mythical Patchouli Oil, than see a cgi de-aged Indiana Jones.

If they wanna make it, I’ll check it out. If this project gets cancelled all of a sudden then that’s cool too. My life and my enjoyment of Indiana Jones won’t be made or broken by Indy 5.

With that said...here’s hoping for a fun movie.

Shia Labouf has cleaned his act up quite a bit and was going through a real tough time of addiction and PTSD. I wonder if they'll give him a second shot at it.

I'd love to see him again. Monkey swinging aside he and Harrison had good chemistry and I liked them together.

No way. He threw Indy 4 under the bus (which is one thing, the fact that he did it while he was promoting the even less earth-shattering Wall Street 2 was ironic),and made public some private conversations that he'd had with Spielberg and Harrison Ford, which he absolutely shouldn't have done. That's reason enough to not let him back in the clubhouse.

Shia is a talented guy who has now started doing some great work in smaller Indies again, and I suspect that is where he's happiest. He has little inclination to work on a big budget franchise again and I think that the feeling is mutual.
