Damn, that review just sold me a copy of a movie I have never seen or ever have been interested in seeing.

This release is so problematic because it will cost me $5K when I eventually buy it. Good news, it will come with a free 4K projector!

Didn't Disney just do that with there 4k UHD of Last Jedi? I believe it was the
copy that was included in The Skywalker Saga.

Why not? It's a fantastic epic... one of the last of the greats. A cast of thousands, elaborate set pieces, etc.

Only thing that bugs me (I sent a DM to Liebman for confirmation) is that Sony's press release listed all of the extras from the 3-disc Blu-ray set, but the review only mentions the extras from the 2-disc Blu-ray set. I sold my 3-disc Blu-ray set to a friend because I thought all of those extras (the only reason I owned that set) were included.

It's hard to say what all exactly will be included in the 4k set. Robert A. Harris said that one of the supplemental discs was missing features and that Sony has to issue a disc replacement as they are well aware of the mistake.

I'm so stoked, I really wanted my new ht ( I've been building and putting it together around 6 months)to be completely done by the LOA release, but it had looked like the theater seats I ordered ( I saved for a year for these seats)wouldn't arrive until the end of June, but they showed up today, what a surprise, and Sunday no less. I honestly can't recall a single release that has ever had me on such pins and needles for it's impending release.

I'm just happy to see someone shelling out for a sweet HT not just for Marvel film's and Gemini Man.

It was just never on the list films watched as a kid or even later as an adult. My parents never really made no mention of it.

My family know next to nothing about film's. My mum's favourite film is Patch Adam's....

I just done this thing called watching them.

Lawrence is arguably in my top 3 films of all time, with the other 2 being Ben Hur with Charlton Heston and The Lord Of The Rings. I cannot wait for this to be released stand-alone. It's what 4K was made for!

They did, but that's because they weren't going to use Dobly on the other 8 Saga UHDs and it was re-encoded for reasons of consistency.

There's no way that Sony will remove DV for the wide release version of Lawrence, not unless they're releasing all the sequels with it and don't want to use DV on the others. Lawrence of Surbiton was crap anyway tho
